How long does preparing to ship take?

I’m not sure if I’ve got high standards or something, but I ordered a custom configuration mac a couple of days ago and nothing has happened. Becoming slightly confused now as when I bought my iPad back in March it was delivered literally the day after I ordered it.

starting school & trying to get back to work waiting on my iMac, most of these post are referring to MacBooks, does anyone have experience ordering an iMac? I am unable to render scenes accordingly on my current computer, it’s taking FOREVER. Any help would be great! I went from processing to preparing to ship today, but I’m curious how long it will take for the computer to get to me from where ever it is currently located! TIA

This is my first time ordering a MBA and I needed it for school for my Masters program. I placed my order on Aug. 18, didn't do any custom things to it and also got AirPods as well. The AirPods were delivered the next day. My card was charged for them at the time of me placing the order. But now its been almost 10 days and my MacBook is still sitting in Processing with no movement. It says that my window for arrival is Aug 26 to Sept 2. My classes started 2 days ago and I'm frustrated. Not what I was expecting from Apple. After reading other comments I'm worried I might now get my MacBook for a few weeks now. Very disappointed. Also, I couldn't pick up this from the Apple Store because they didn't have any in stock or so the website said.

i ordered my mba on 8/22 and it’s been processing since the 23rd. it said everything was good to go and it was going to ship soon until today, this morning they took that back so it’s still in processing. it’s supposed to get here sept 1st-3rd and i start school on aug 31st. this whole shipping thing is driving me crazy (my airpods got delivered about 3 days after i placed my order btw)

Same...I ordered a mba (i5) on 8/21 along with a pair of AirPods. I wasn’t able to do pickup because all the Apple Stores nearby are closed due to COVID. The AirPods arrived on 8/25, and I was given an arrival dates of 8/31-9/8 for my mba. Unfortunately, it has still not moved out the processing phase. I’m beginning to feel that it’s unlikely to arrive in the original window. Very disappointing, not what I expected when purchasing from Apple...

same!! I ordered my MacBook Pro on august 17 and it IS STILL PROCESSING even though more than two weeks have passed. I start school on September 17 and im not sure if it will get here on time. They haven’t even charged me yet. Really disappointed by apple :(

Placed my order on 8/27 for my MacBook Air and free AirPods (I’m a nursing student). I received my AirPods on 8/31 and my Macbook is still processing. Hopefully I receive it between the dates of 9/4-9/9 like it says on my order. My card hasn’t been charged yet (no big deal) for the Macbook but I was charged for the AirPods (maybe they’ll dock the cost of the AirPods off of the Macbook when I receive it, since the pods are supposed to be free? Not sure.)

Hi! I ordered my custom MacBook Pro on the 20th of august and it’s saying it won’t be here until the 21-28 of September. And I’m two weeks in which is the 3rd of September and it’s still processing.. kinda upset about it. Is it supposed to Take this long or is something wrong

I also ordered the Macbook Air (upgraded to i5 with 256gb and 8gb) and had an offer where i was getting free Airpods (With engraving). I ordered on the 31st of August, and the engraved Airpods were delivered on the 3rd of September. As of now, Apple have only taken out the money of the Airpods, and the Macbook is still processing! University is starting soon, and this has to arrive. Shocking that a £1000 item takes that long too ship!

Wow I ordered a base model MBA on 09/02/20 still says processing. Expected delivery for me is Sept 11-15. This gives me no hope your shipment took a full month. I think I’m going to cancel my order and downgrade. But hey I’ll save a couple hundred bucks.

I thought so too I’ve been checking stores daily and there isn’t even any in stock any color in a 100 mile radius of my zip code. I’m just going to cancel my order. It’s way too much money to spend to have to wait a month (This thread experiences)

I ordered my MacBook on August 14th it’s almost been a month and still no update on my order it is still “processing” and it is meant to be arriving from September 10th (which by the way is tomorrow) to the 17th and it’s still not even budged. I’m quite annoyed by it all that it has taken this long to get any update whatsoever. Not impressed for sure

I'm not in a rush for it but already got all the accessories for it XD

Already got a high end windows laptop but wanted to get a Macbook for work and school for portability and my 2010 Macbook Pro has seen better days

I ordered a MacBook too on Wednesday 26th September. I got the student offer which meant I would get AirPods with it too. My Personalised AirPods were sent on the same weekends despite me choosing for the shipment to be a week later. However, my MacBook Pro is still not moving from processing to preparing to ship despite it being 17 days. Uni starts in a 2 weeks but I needed my laptop for all the induction activities which start next week.

I hope it comes ASAP.

P.S I ordered a MacBook Pro 13 inch with i5 processor and 512Gb storage.
