IPhoneSE 2020 wifi painfully slow??

I thinks it’s an operational issues. I exchanged SE with 11 pro the very next day in Apple store when I found it is a WiFi issue and can’t resolve by myself. 11pro is better I feel, the WiFi signals are very strong even my router located in next room. One thing We need to notice in both the phones are it’s WiFi spec is same.

I have that same problem. You can see the speed difference on my computer and my iPhone SE(2020) from the links below. (I'm using a 25mbps internet connection.)

Tremendous Wifi issues in new iphone se 2020

does anyone has this

i was using iphone 6 since last 6 years

was happy with that 

just a little slow but no other issues

i was not a fan of face id and phone with nodge so when i saw se 2020

i bought it

bt have tremendous wifi issues

my iphone 6 shows full wifi bars in my room

bt se 2020 only shows 1

poor wifi 

after surfing to all possible things as read in discussions of apple and youtube videos

nothing happened 

even waited for update 13.7

even updated but nothing changed

went to apple store they took the iphone after i tried to convince with my problem

they returned my device 3 days later telling the issue has been resolved 

but still the problem is there 

i am now so much frustrated that i want to sell my 20 days old phone 

i used my iphone 6 which i now use as secondary phone for 6 years bt this fone i cant handle it 

poor apple service and support 

really broke my heart 

My se2 also suffers from a weaker than normal or expected signal. I have tried all the fixes in this thread and none if them work.

It drops connection often, and my data usage has gone up a lot because of it.

I just got this SE2020 a month a go. Had the iphone 7 the last 4 years. But ever since I have this new iphone it is drama With the wifi.

If I want to use chromecast I need to switch everything else off except the wifi. I cannot use 4g and wifi at the same time because the phone will constantlt switch to 4g. I work at home so normally I am on wifi 95% of the time, I am affraid it is now the other way around. :( Is Apple aware of these issues and are they planning on fixing them?

iOS 14 did not resolve my weak Wi-Fi issues. Reception is still very weak and not up to what I’d expect, especially compared to our other phones.

My daughters original SE has stronger connectivity without the drops than this new SE2.

I’d say it is about 20% weaker than the original se, and 30-40% weaker than the 7 plus.

My data usage has skyrocketed as a result.

Also it’s not a router problem as I’ve had my router replaced, SIM card charged, they given me a replacement unit. No fixes. I think it’s the new chipset they decided to use that supports faster speeds. Even on higher speed models the range is spotty. Even the Apple store tech though the signal strength on my phone was off but he said there wasn’t anything he could do since it passed all the diagnostics.

Another iphone se user told me that his problems with WiFi were fixed when he receive the carrier updates.

I don’t think that will fix mine

maybe a bunch of iPhones were sort of broken , in that case I will consider getting a replacement sooner or later

If a case contains metal or other conductors it will affect antenna performance. If a case is made of only non-conductive plastics and silicone, it will not affect antenna performance. This is universally true as the frequency and direction of radiation propagation is only affected when the transmission medium has substantially differing permittivity and permeability constants. For most plastics, these constants are nearly identical to that of air.

Please be careful to not obscure the performance problems indicated here with your comment about cases. It is a separate train of thought for a separate thread.

+ 1 here fresh I phone se 2020 and the WiFi connection gets sometimes that bad that I think I am back to the 90s and a modem connection. I need to connect and reconnect every time.

My old android Huawai holds the connection stable all day long.

Brand new phone and now I have three major bugs. Heating up when loading. Wired Bluetooth Connection as well as an unstable WiFi connection.

Makes the impression that Apple is lousy in QC?

Is this WiFi drop as soon as You make a FaceTime phone call?

Thank goodness I decided to ship back when I did. I was on the last day of the return period. So disappointed in Apple for this.

try going to the Apple website and submit feedback and make the issue known. If enough voices speak out they have to address this ongoing issue. Obviously they aren’t acknowledging it otherwise

Try submitting feedback on apples website about your problem if tech support can’t solve the issue
