iPhone 11 speakerphone cutting out

The same thing has been happening to be ever since I purchased the phone in August 2020. Apple gave me a new phone and it still does the same thing. I even purchased a new SIM card from Verizon and still have the same issue. It is very frustrating after spending so much on a phone.

No. There is no solution. I am on my 4th new 12 Pro Max because of this issue. Every time I call in the support people say they have never heard of it (despite 4-5 separate threads on here with a total of ~4000 comments regarding this issue on both the iPhone 11 & 12) so apparently Apple is just pretending it isn’t a thing. 🙄

When on a call if the other person mutes herself she can finally hear me talk. Everything has to be completly silent on the other end for people to hear me, ESPECIALLY in a pandemic, where group calls are a thing, there's no point being in a group call as no one can listen to me.

I am utterly shocked to see this problem has been going on for over a year and apple STILL HAS DONE NOTHING.

The only solution? Headphones

I have had the same issues. I am on my second iPhone 11 (via warranty) and the second phone has the same issues. Apple tried to tell me that it must be one of my apps causing the problems. They would not let me restore from back up and encouraged me to add apps back slowly to ensure the phone doesn’t have any more call issues. During this transition, I lost contacts, music, and ringtones. I worked with Apple to get them back but they couldn’t do it. Through this entire process Apple tried to make me responsible for these issues… I’m glad to see that it’s not just me; others are having the same issues. Interesting though… my wife has the same exact model and has never had a problem… and we bought our original iPhone 11’s on the same day in the same transaction. Apple needs to make this right for all of us who have issues. How do we make this happen?

Issue from July 2020 now up 21 pages of this STILL ongoing defect.. It seems Apple has selected to ‘mute’ any recognition of this still actively growing number of complaints. Where is the integrity in this?

Same thing happens to my wife’s phone. None of the actions in the article helped. It’s almost like the noise cancellation is also canceling her voice. Turning off noise canceling did not help.

I have a friend who has told me that I have this problem as well. I'm on an 11pro.

I'm wondering if we have problems with the microphones in our phones maybe?

Exact same thing happens to my husband and I. Very frustrating! We both just bought pro Max’s and they have done this from day one!

I am having the same exact issue with my wifes iphone 11. it started for us about 3 or 4 updates ago. i hope it is resolved soon we have only a month left on warranty.

Same problem here. I use a case. How about you all? Is it possible that our cases are covering up the microphone?

It’s def not the carrier as it’s obviously a global issue .. I’m in Melbourne, Australia and it’s happening here too!

Will they let you trade it in for the 12 and pay the price difference? Mine is almost new.
