I no longer have a video option for my iPhone 11 Pro Max and the only way I can record is by holding my shutter button. Does this only affect the 11 series and any ideas to see if it’s just my phone? Should I go to my nearest Apple store and see what they say? Anything to help me sort this out or something like that please reply thanks.
Here is how I fixed this issue. 1. Open settings and click on camera. 2. Click on “Preserve Settings”. 3. Make sure “Camera Mode”, “Creative Controls” and “Live Video” buttons are green. Video button option returns
I had to click them off and then back on again to get the video and other lost settings, but it is fine now.
I’m having the same issue with a
10xr. Sometimes video is available and sometimes It’s missing. I have tried restarting the phone but that never helped.
this can also occur because their is an app like discord using your microphone.
Open your camera and the white “PHOTO” button will appear; HOLD THE BUTTON and the camera will begin recording; let go of the button and the recording will stop.
if you want continuous recording without having to hold the button down:
HOLD THE WHITE SHUTTER BUTTON; begin the recording; then swipe right, and the recording will continue.
Must be something Apple did with the latest update.
I have iPhone 12 Pro Max on IOS 14.3. This afternoon my camera no longer has video option either. I turned it off and on. And I came back. But when I received a call it went away again. Is there a fix for this?
My iPhone 12 is not even a month old. Today i tried to take a video and suddenly the video button is gone!!! I could not shoot the video, the interesting scene was gone. After about 5 minutes I checked again and the video option was back. i fail to understand this new phone. I am very disappointed with what happened today. I missed an opportunity to record something rare and beautiful. What a shame after paying almost 1000k for this phone. I know it will probably happen again. I have no confidence in my brand new phone! What will happen a couple more months down the line???
Yes, I am seeing the same thing with my phone as well. As soon as I did the update to the IOS 14, my video option to record has disappeared as well.
Just noticed the same thing on my iPhone XR...Video option disappeared. Rebooted the phone and the option reappeared.
After the new update I am going through the same issues with my camera, some options including video disappeared.

I also have no video option on my iPhone 8 Plus. When I open my camera, there is no video.
I just noticed I have the same issue. Apparently it has disappeared. Have you found out a solution?
