There is a software issue and this has affected more than 10,000 of iPhones. It’s not something we are doing wrong. Apple needs to fix this ASAP! Or refund us all 1,000$ We pay good money for their products because they’re reliable. This is absolutely insane 😡
You're not talking to Apple here, just other Apple users, so you're literally shouting into the wind.

At 78% battery health you are usually prompted by the OS that your battery needs service. If you see this message in you Battery Health it means you are likely due for a new battery.
See image, it's now at 35 hours at 1% and counting...
I have the same
issue with my iphone 11 pro max. It randomly shuts down at a high percentage 80% then upon restart shows 10%! Can anyone help me?

If you go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health what does it say there? There should be three entries.
Please call or chat Apple Support so they can help you. This is a user-to-user form only.
Update to iOS 14.0.1 and then check again, let it learn your charging and using pattern and your battery will be fine.
Sorry, I should have mentioned we updated to 14.0.1 as soon as it was available after iOS 14 was installed. Same results. :(
