iPhone camera not working after iOS 14 update

I got the same issue.

In ios 13 my microphone stopped working and during calls i can’t hear the person while calling.

Now that i have ios 14 my camera don’t work and i see the whole time a black screen, i tried to do it with the flashlight but if i close camera and go back it was gone.

Hello... after I updated my iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 14, my camera acts up. It doesn't load the camera. I then try to turn on the flashlight but it doesn't work either. Sometimes, I try to repeatedly turn on and off the flashlight until suddenly it works. I then come back to the camera and keep switching the camera modes, and rarely, it functions. Once I exit it an try the camera on an app though, it doesn't work again. Restarting didn't help my problem.

I contacted apple earlier today I was on the phone with them for 3 hours and they couldn't do anything about it, I now have a phone with no mic, camera, flash. I can't call I can't use Siri I can't access my voice mails can't use the cameras on things like snapchat, tiktok, Facebook my flash light doesnt work. I have a phone that can text and thats it.

Apple it’s been 4K people atleast trying to tell y there’s a problem we have to pay 100$+ to fix our microphone that we didn’t broke some of us have the same phone for 2-3 years and 100$ is a lot for a fix to a problem we didn’t make i beg you please help us with the microphone/camera fix I’m exhausted I’m depressed I have to carry headphones and be aware all the time

i had the same mix problem for many months.

I blamed on myself getting bringing the phone to the pool and maybe I got dirt like suntan oil ok it. I wash the phone since it’s water resistance ... then I got water damage on the screen and fried Touch ID.

to all the Iphone 11 Pro users having similar issues with rear cam blackscreen, I tried all possible solutions found on the web and here’s my conclusion:

• upgrade to 14.2 beta does not solve the problem
• hard reset doesn’t either
• flashlight/timer combinations doesn’t work either
• native camera app just doesn’t let you take pictures using rear cam, front one does work
• flashlight doesn’t work

fun fact - tried taking pictures through Adobe Lightroom. There’s no blackscreen but the pictures are blurred

I’ve been having nothing but issues since updating! Same as everyone, since iOS13 phone microphone/speaker doesn’t work unless I use Bluetooth/AirPods. Now iOS 14 my camera doesn’t work. Are they forcing us to upgrade? What the heck!

I was checking out a new phone yesterday after the Apple Store staff cannot even run a diagnostic on my iPhone 7 Plus because it couldn’t search for WiFi during the diag process. I will hang on till new phone get released.

yeah right,they don’t really care about their customers,all they want to do is to get tons and tons of money from us,repair cost,upgrades etc.,I’m done with this **** I’m going back to Samsung and ya’ll should to.

Same if they dont fix the mic error im done with iphone im selling my iphone for 100€ and buying a new samsung propably s8 im not paying 136$ to fix the iphone 7 and being scared of it having the error again Guys just alla type here so we can get their attention for once.

Wow. Very aptly put. But wait for a while before Apple deletes your post from the forum...and calls it to be not constructive.. It has already deleted 2 of the my posts on this issue. Apple is just not willing to accept that it’s completely their fault and not a customer’s. What will you call a phone without a Mic, Speaker, Camera, Flashlight and god know what else they are going to take away now. They don’t want to be held accountable for these issues, or call back the defective iPhone 7 lot or replace the phones or refund the money. Pathetic customer support as well.

I can at least take and make calls using bluetooth headphones. I reset the phone back to factory settings and still have the same probs. No phone mic, no camera, flashlight delays on startup, and issues getting Facetime to work.

I too have the same issue with my iPhone 7 Plus, I never connected the mic issue to updates but after seeing all of the comments i realize its more than a technical issue. I updated super excited to try the widgets and now i cant even take photos, snapchat, use my flashlight, make any calls, basically making this a worse Ipod touch. Please apple fix this!

Same to mine, after IOS 13, my phone doesn’t pick up sound or even take calls anymore. Now after IOS 14, my camera is black, flashlight is not working. Apple please fix this and don’t forget about us!

Instead of recommending all these workarounds (which btw kinda sorta work and have to be done repeatedly), why dont you push out an emergency patch and fix our phones. I have an iphone 7s - my camera got bricked and bluetooth doesnt well either. I hope this isnt a backdoor way of getting us to buy the latest phones. Disappointed by the lack of quality in this release. Please fix it asap.
