iPhone camera not working after iOS 14 update

oh no...did apple developer planted a timebomb for iphone 7 on the IOS14 ?? I was still singing praises on iphone 7 performance and durability until I upgrade to ios14 an hour ago!

now I cannot access camera, mic, flashlight....holy !!!!!!

Samee I thought it was only me but my microphone isn’t working and whenever I record a video, the volume icon is gray. And I can’t even make calls but now the camera and flashlight isn’t workin as well...💀

Same problem. I also have battery replaced by Apple early on when they had the battery replacement program special. iPhone 7 Plus. iOS 14, camera not working . Mic also not working for many months since an iOS update.

I live in Jamaica and did not buy my device from the Apple store. Do I still just mail it in?

if I do mail it to get it back to my country will incur custom clearance fees. I might as well just buy a new phone. And after this stunt I don’t think it will be Apple.

I have the same ******* issue. I am so ****** right now. A perfectly working phone is ruined. I upgraded to 13.7 last Friday, my microphone stopped working. Couldn’t take calls or videos from any app.

Updated to 14 today and bloody camera stops working. I was just clicking photos today morning n then I got a msg from family saying new update may fix your issue.

I do it and boom and another issue. APPLE you better fix this else you are going to lose **** lot of customers

I think that they do this in purpose to make us buy a new one I’m having the exact same problem and they said the exact same thing it’s impossible to be a coincidence I’ll never buy any apple product again

Need help - got camera back after using 3s timer fix (see previous post) BUT still cannot get the microphone to work. Cannot make phone calls and this is HORRIBLE. It's simple unbelievable that Apple can do this to its customers. It's been too long without a microphone/phone and beginning to wonder the purpose? Force an upgrade? Apple, please come up with a fix!

The same happened to me! My mic randomly stopped working, but I just dealt with it. I couldn’t record audio or anything else and it sucked. Then this new update comes along and my camera and flashlight bother aren’t working. I thought maybe it was just my phone being old but so many others have the same problem. Like wtf?!

Regret updating cause my phone was working so Perfect until now.

I have an iPhone 7 Plus and I'm experiencing the exact same issues. My mic hasn't worked since ios13 and now after upgrading to ios14 my camera and flash have stopped working. I deleted the NFC thing from my control center as someone here advised and I it worked momentarily, I was able to take a quick pic but now the camera is not working again. This really sucks!

Is apple going to make us wait for weeks until they do the update to fix these issues? I don't think that it's right we have to wait to use our camera, microphone, and flashlight, and the apps that go with the camera and microphone. We spend too much money on these phones (and we just got my daughter the 11 back in April) not to use the features!!! Apple is making it to where we will just go to Android and we have been an Apple Family for many years!

Sorry to hear that. I skipped camera dor couple days but I didn’t have much to do so not major loss. But if you have events and nor able to take pictures, that’s absolutely not pleasant experience. This is not beta software release but official release and apple make such amateur mistakes, I wonder what head of engineering and QA would have to say.

even though I am using an old phone does not mean I do not buy new iPhones for my family members EVERY YEAR! Disappointing the Apple user community can be major disaster for their loyal customer base.

following this video works for the camera...but this doesnt fix the audio issue...it's now a camera...not a phone... :(

I’m honestly so mad about this situation like I have videos to make and stuff and I can’t make my content with all this iOS 14 bs it’s annoying apple needs to check there things before releasing it and ruining everyone’s phones like come on now and my flash doesn’t work when I go to snap the camera doesn’t work on TikTok where I make videos isn’t working like bruh

suddenly last night after having my phone work completely fine, my microphone went out. like some people have said the speaker button is grayed out and you cant hear nor, have people hear you during calls. i saw the latest update and thought maybe this will fix it. nope. i get on my phone this morning to have both my mic and camera "broke." what do i do!! could someone help me
