iPhone camera not working after iOS 14 update

Guys the solution to this issue is calling Apple Support. You must do it every day. Prove to them that it is an issue to you and they will right it! They sent me a brand new 11pro max. Took about a month.

I was here frome when this had 2 pages we came to 35pages and only a couple of guys got helped by apple i contacted the support and after a week of come and go they basically told me u had to sent it to get it ficed with the warranty and receipt and after that they will tell me the cost of it ADTER THEY REVIEWED MY PROBLEM..Plus i was not going to get one replacement

It clearly shows that Apple’s services and repairs are not standardized and differ from city to city, store to store and person to person. Such a big brand and no standard solution to a common problem faced by hundreds and thousands of loyal Apple customers across the globe. A problem that was caused by Apple’s software update and for which they refuse to claim the responsibility. You have clearly lost a lot of loyal customers to Android, not something which we would expect from a giant like Apple. Quite sad.

14.1 solves the camera issue but the Mic issue still remains...since iOS13 update in my case. A phone and a smartphone on top of that, is not capable of making and receiving calls...what an irony. Great work Apple.

No my friend, it does nothing. Still have to use bluetooth to take phone calls and the video has no sound. Apple, please look carefully how many cases here. And, so many of my friends, colleagues do not dare to update their iOS.

I had spoke to Apple support about the microphone issue and unfortunately, they refused to acknowledge that it is a hardware issue that was caused by the update. They have said it as hardware problem that may arise as the IC has limited life period like battery and i have to pay for the repair.

I think i will have to think twice before buying any of apple products again.

The same thing happens to me on my Iphone X, a technician told me that the camera can be changed but the best thing would be to wait for an update. A friend exchanged his camera with that technician and a few days later IOS 14.1 came out; He updated and the front camera went black again. The problem is with the software and at the moment we can do nothing but wait for a solution from Apple. Greetings

Same problem with iphone 7 plus, after IOS 14 update.

I can't make or receive phone calls and videos recorded without audio ..

The update also affected camera functions, i can't take photos, music playback (headphones won't work through jack) . Have tried to reset the phone  but problem persists.

Sometimes (after restarting) the phone back to normal but after few minutes everything stop working again!

I waited for the next update (14.1) and the issue is not fixed by Apple.

Whats the point of having a device that cannot make or receive calls and not even taking a photo? now we have a useless brick and we need a fix ASAP! 

There’s a 3 second and a 10 second timer in camera. You select the timer, hit the photo button and 3 seconds later the picture takes so you have time to be ready for it. Mine disappeared after the new update

camera issues was fixing in iOS 14.01 above. If it didn’t fix it then you’ll have to restore device and set ya phone back up and if that doesn’t work then camera went out most likely because the camera bug was fixed within a week of iOS 14 release. Be sure to back ya device up before doing restore.

I am the UK I have just spent a fruitless hour on chat with Apple. They want $280 if I do a mail in they assure me it’s a holding charge! I can take it to the store but that may be a waste of time and in these covid times a unnecessary risk to life and limb. Question: has anyone the UK had their iPhone 7 replaced due to a faulty microphone?

Before contacting Apple support. I suggest ya restore device to iOS 14.1 via iTunes. They will have ya to do this first thing. Because it’s something to do with updating from 14.0-14.1 via over the air

On my iPhone XS camera doesn't work either, after updating IOS 14.

Its almost been for 2 months - and no solution.

I am so disappointed in apple products.. its sad that company gives a fuck to their customers.

14.01 fixed the camera issue, then I contacted Apple about my ongoing mic issues they advised installing 14.1. That did not fix the mic and broke the camera again. Has anyone else had this experience?

Welcome to the club of ‘iPhone 7 & 7 plus Mic not working’ and ‘Apple refusing to accept its fault’. It’s been quite a few months now. The Mic on my iPhone 7 stopped working after iOS13 update. Both the 13 & 14 iOS updates are not compatible with iPhone 7 and 7 plus and have rendered so many phones useless. Apple still refuses to call back the faulty phones.
