iPhone camera not working after iOS 14 update

If anyone can find a solution to the audio issue please let me know. Got the camera working in 13.7 downgrade.

all they done was upgrade device to 14.01 or above lol. Because nothing was wrong with the camera itself. It was a bug in the software itself because everyone had the issue.

Camera fixed in iOS 14.01 update. If ya still in iOS 14.0 then update. If on iOS 14.01 then restore it to iOS 14.01. The cameras will be fixed.

The update 14.1 finally the solution, Apple didn’t say but they know

Resetting all settings just does settings only. Restore would be what you’d have to do. To see any improvements

Hi, so I too am experiencing the same problem, but I did find a turnaround which kinda works:

• Turn on the flashlight toggle from the control center and keep it on, but the flashlight won’t turn on
• Then open an app which uses the camera and wait for 3-5 seconds. The image does show up, at least it did in my case
• Only downside., you have to perform the above steps each time you don’t get an image from the camera.

I just got off a chat with apple support and she said that in her opinion, a new update would be available in a few days. She said many people had reported the issue. PLEASE CONTINUE REPORTING THIS SO WE CAN HAVE OUR PHONES FIXED.

I spent lots of time on the phone with customer service and Apple Support and they tell me that my phone will be used by engineers to figure out how to fix the 7+ issue. I am a happy customer! camera issues was fixing in iOS 14.01 above. If it didn’t fix it then you’ll have to restore device and set ya phone back up and if that doesn’t work then camera went out most likely because the camera bug was fixed within a week of iOS 14 release. Be sure to back ya device up before doing restore.

I had to replaced my front camera and microphone to get to FaceTime again. I tried restarting the phone several times didn’t work. So I replaced the front camera and microphone to get to it working again. Thanks Apple!!!! I feel that’s the new iOS 14 update is not compatible with most of the parts used on past generation IPhone I don’t know they had a bad Bach of parts from manufacturers when they ship out or Apple have more bugs in they iOS version that disable camera forcing customers to either get expensive repairs or have to upgrade they phone to latest model.

No update is going to fix the issue. Only thing is getting a new phone. Either buy one or keep hounding Apple until they replace it. I did for bout 3 weeks (1 time a week) then finally Apple care called me on Saturday and offered to replace my 7+ with 128GB iPhone XR. After I sent mine in 3 days late I got a new phone. No not a refurb in a sealed box

my front facing camera option stopped working 2 days ago before the 14.4 update on my 7+. It stopped on all Videochat apps. WhatsApp video calls failed. Instagram video not an option. Messenger video not an option. Selfie in camera app not functioning. Tried every single thing. Restarting, power off for a while, reset settings, updated to 14.4, contacted Apple Support. *Nothing is a fix.* going to try to backup my phone and restore to factory settings.

You can downgrade using iTunes, but you’ll lose all your data if you don’t have a backup from ios 13 as you can’t restore ios 14 backup to 13.

No home fix for it. Must mail it in or go to the store are the only options they gave me.

A workaround is to force camera with magnifier.
