iPhone camera not working after iOS 14 update

Hello... after I updated my iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 14, my camera acts up. It doesn't load the camera. I then try to turn on the flashlight but it doesn't work either. Sometimes, I try to repeatedly turn on and off the flashlight until suddenly it works. I then come back to the camera and keep switching the camera modes, and rarely, it functions. Once I exit it an try the camera on an app though, it doesn't work again. Restarting didn't help my problem.

Hi, you can check this: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working

You can restore your phone as new:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If the issue persists, you can take your phone to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. Book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.

After ios 13 update my microphone stop working. I thought my phone broken. After ios 14 update camera and flashlight stop working.

Flashlight works while i down and up the power.

To turn on camera push flashlight from the centeral settings and get in to camera and wait 15 sec.

microphone problem don't see any solution.

update: my camera seems to be improving. i still have to do the timer thing every time i open my cam. however, lately, in messenger, when i open the cam, it lags for a bit then loads. it works every time i want to use it. momentarily, it works in instagram too and on other apps. the camera app seems to still not budge, which is pretty strange. anyway, will continue to update on any new developments.

I have an iPhone 7 Plus and I'm experiencing the exact same issues. My mic hasn't worked since ios13 and now after upgrading to ios14 my camera and flash have stopped working. I deleted the NFC thing from my control center as someone here advised and I it worked momentarily, I was able to take a quick pic but now the camera is not working again. This really sucks!

Yea I’ve got to go to store as well. I’m actually chatting with them through iMessage right now. I’ve linked them to this thread to show how many people have issues with the microphone and camera app!

also confirmed that iOS 13.4.1 works but when you upgrade to 13.7 microphone stops. So now their really worried and want me to have a talk with senior manager bout the issue tomorrow sometime. As I bought spare 7+ Cheap on iOS 13.4.1 and it worked and then I upgraded the device and it stopped working on 13.7 and then iOS 14. Sent them the video of it all working before update and then video of it not working after the update. My wife’s 7+ is still on 13.4.1 and works fine!

Is apple going to make us wait for weeks until they do the update to fix these issues? I don't think that it's right we have to wait to use our camera, microphone, and flashlight, and the apps that go with the camera and microphone. We spend too much money on these phones (and we just got my daughter the 11 back in April) not to use the features!!! Apple is making it to where we will just go to Android and we have been an Apple Family for many years!

Sorry to hear that. I skipped camera dor couple days but I didn’t have much to do so not major loss. But if you have events and nor able to take pictures, that’s absolutely not pleasant experience. This is not beta software release but official release and apple make such amateur mistakes, I wonder what head of engineering and QA would have to say.

even though I am using an old phone does not mean I do not buy new iPhones for my family members EVERY YEAR! Disappointing the Apple user community can be major disaster for their loyal customer base.
