Pro Max keeps freezing for seconds... Did the restart for times won't fix it... And don't want to do a factory reset.... Hope gets the iOS 14.1 soon.... Shame on you, Apple, Shame on you.... I need iPhone 12...
iPhone 11 Pro Max freezing on random apps, at random times, cannot pinpoint specifics. Freezes, then somehow resets itself with little spinning wheel on black screen. Did hard reboot and did not fix. I did my update directly to 14.0.1 (bypassing 14 hoping to not deal with these bugs) Apple this phone was so expensive and we have to deal with these horrible bugs. I mean a piece of equipment that costs more than $1k with software like this? Come on Apple, you can do WAY better than this.
You’re fortunate yours resets itself. I have to turn mine completely off, and restart it. The Apple Watch is also not functioning properly since 7.0. Apple will doubtless fix these glitches soon. They always do!
I have an 11Pro and it has killed my Apply Watch 5, which I sent in. After I did that I pulled out my Apple 2 watch and then iOS 14 updated it and now it is frozen. So, setting it up from new makes no difference.
Today I've reinstalled macOS Catalina - and I've forgot about that STUPID indexing on first boot/login which boils CPU and SSD.
And it have me to thing iOS MUST do the same thing - and iMac is on for most of the time (of indexing) while iPhone....... you switch off (sleep) after very short while- not giving it possibility to re index all its mess.
So I've set "NEVER Sleep" option and let iPhone on for about 10 minutes and........... CURRENTLY is all fine - please confirm if it is just me
I had to basically wipe all my apps out and had to redownload everything again. My messages work now but sucks had to download all the apps again. Only good thing is my pics and contacts didn’t go away
Same for me: iPhone 8+, iPhone XS Max, iPad Air2 and iPad 11 Pro : Non-Apple apps hang, crash, browsers like opera touch take minutes to load a page. even recently apps still not working properly. It’s becoming a real drag. iOS 14 was released with too much hedges and clearly untested. This is an unacceptable because we need Thea devices for working not just playing
@TKBPARIS This is not the same problem I have. In my case and many others here, the home screen freezes, you can not swipe between the screens. Let alone open an app. What are non-Apple apps? My iPhone is not yail braked. I think it has something to do with the introduction/change of the widgets. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max.
I am having the same troubles and to answer to mejansick my phone is not jailbroken, it's a perfect normal iPhone. And this is really a drag. I hope Apple and the app developers will bring lasting solutions for something that cannot go on
I am having the same issue with my iPhone 11 freezing up. It first started when I downloaded the widget apps. Once I deleted the apps, the freezing was less frequent, but it’s still happening. I’ve heard if you reset all of your settings it will fix the freezing problem that was caused by the widget apps. Has anyone tried that?
My iPhone 11 pro is doing exactly the same. I’ve taken it back to the Apple shop to have it reset and they couldn’t work out what the problem was. They gave me a brand-new phone for my one-year-old iPhone 11 Pro and this phone is doing exactly the same. I would agree that it is the update 14.0.1 which is causing the problem.
i did a reset on my phone finally & I haven’t had any issues with freezing since. I believe it was a combo of the update & downloading all of the widget apps. Hopefully Apple is working on a bug fix!
My phone was frozen out of nowhere. Couldn’t do hard rearart or turn it off or answer a call. For 3 hours. Battery was full.
I put my XR in the freezer for 15 minutes and was able to do a hard restart !!!!!
I’m not lying !
it it works for u. Throw a dollar to donation jar at your fast food counter !
Software Version 14.0.1 on iPhone 11 Pro Max, removed all the widgets and hoped for better. But the phone still freezes very often when I start using it. Very annoying, especially if you want to catch a moment with your camera. Or start an app to pay for a delivery and the delivery boy has to wait for the iPhone to react. If Steve knew this, man, he would be so angry.
This has happened to me with three separate phones. My first iPhone 8, my second iPhone 8 that they gave me to replace my old glitchy one, and my new iPhone 11 that I just bought to replace the second 8 that had gone glitchy. I'm convinced at this point that there's some issue with my Apple ID that's ruining my devices.
