I’ve searched on the internet ways to solve this and I’m coming up short. When I set a calendar alert Time To Leave is crossed out and says “Time to leave alerts are not available because location-based services are not available”. My location based services are turned on. I feel like I’ve checked everything up and down including rebooting the phone but nothing works. Please help!

Hi there. I was having the same problem and researched it. Luckily I found the solution.
Got to settings>privacy> Location services> scroll all the way down to System Services and go to Location -Based Alert and turn on. That will fix it for you

Thanks, Beewing. I did have that setting on, but found the “location based alert” setting that Navymom posted earlier corrected my problem. Your message may help others though!

I have everything on and the calendar continues without telling me when it is time to go out. I have iOS 14.4. I don't know what else I can try or if it's an Apple bug. Can somebody help me?

Unfortunately, the problem continues to happen in iOS 14.4.1.
I followed exactly what Navy Mom explains, and it still doesn't work. Therefore the error is not fixed by Apple.
I can confirm it is not fixed with iOS 14.4.1.

It really doesn't work, just that you've been one of the few who have been lucky.
It used to work perfectly. Now it doesn’t work at all.
With the update of iOS 14.5.1 Time to Leave is still not working. Also the option Travel Time has disappeared. iOS 14 is a disaster.
