I just received my brand new Apple Watch 6 preorder, and although Cyprus is included in the list of regions where the app is supported, when I try to enable it I get a "Blood oxygen app is not available in your region." message.
Region settings are correct.

First you must call apple greece who are very helpful and polite.
You tell them the problem and in my case i have send all my iphone 11 pro max data that they requested and then they told me that blood oxygen is not working with Cyprus region .
I told them that i dont want the watch and i want my money back.
I was told to go to the istorm shop in Nicosia at a specific time and if they refuse to give me my money back then to send them an email and they would talk with istorm within 5-10 minutes.
Cyprus is still among the countries that blood oxygen is active according to Apple's official webpage. See image attached (date: 15/10/2020, you can tell from the image too)

I bought mine from UK, and sent to Cyprus... EKG has been working on mine since watch5, and works also on watch 6, but Blood Oxygen isnt working yet also.
I would think its a bug, cause watch os 7.0.2 had a similar bug that wouldn't allow EKG to work in countries that it was supported.

Someone has to answer the question: "When will we be able to turn on blood oxygen in Cyprus?" (Apple or Ministry of Research)...
Maybe official reseller "iStorm" must start the discussion with Cyprus and Apple?
I’m not the one who developed the procedure oh how to do it, I’ve just wanted to share with the rest of disappointed customers that there is a way to activate both apps if you cannot want to wait from Apple to take care of our request. I did it for my watch and it worked, so if you want to have the same experience I would be happy to share a link from YouTube that I found. It’s free of charge!

Has anyone updated the apple watch to 7.02? has this issue been resolved for them
with this update? im waiting for mine to charge to 50%, update it and try to unpair and pair it again.
As far as I know it depends on the region given by satellite. So no matter where you bought the watch certain features will not be able to work.

Has anyone been able to activate the blood oxygen sensor in Cyprus? i am having the same issue also. Very disappointed with apple as this is considered as misrepresentation. Cyprus should be in the supported counties. The blood oxygen app should work since it works with “location” services.
Please let us know. I pre ordered 3 watches via Istorm and today got one of them. The store manager said that it doesnt work currently but they will make it available soon. I don’t believe him! If this is not available I will file a complaint and of course not purchase the other 2. Thanks
