Blood Oxygen App Not Available in Cyprus

I just received my brand new Apple Watch 6 preorder, and although Cyprus is included in the list of regions where the app is supported, when I try to enable it I get a "Blood oxygen app is not available in your region." message.

Region settings are correct.

First you must call apple greece who are very helpful and polite.

You tell them the problem and in my case i have send all my iphone 11 pro max data that they requested and then they told me that blood oxygen is not working with Cyprus region .

I told them that i dont want the watch and i want my money back.

I was told to go to the istorm shop in Nicosia at a specific time and if they refuse to give me my money back then to send them an email and they would talk with istorm within 5-10 minutes.

Before i paid for the watch the istorm manager told me that we have a sample here and when i asked about blood oxygen app he told me that it works perfectly well. Its my mistake that i didn’t ask to see it.If apple doesn’t find a solution in the next day or so it means that istorm is in breach of European consumer laws and it falsely advertises watch with blood oxygen app when the actual watch they give us it doesn’t support this app.I bought the watch based on their advert.

I will give apple a day or two to solve the problem otherwise i will report istorm to European consumer association for advertising and selling different product.

I will update everyone if apple gives me a solution

Cannot emphasise enough how disappointed I am with Apple for misrepresenting their products to make us buy the expensive version. I would go for the SE series if they did not advertise that Cyprus is supported for the Blood oxygen Sensor which was roughly 130 Euros cheaper. Do not care much about the “always on display” as it reduces the battery life also. I really hope that Apple is reading these discussions and releases an update and rectifies this problem soonest possible.

I am from Morocco and I am having the same issue . Like you in Cyprus. Apple is saying that blood oxygen app is available in our countries but when we try it, unfortunately it does not work. I have the latest update for iPhone 14.0.1 and Apple Watch 7.0.2. Please we need an update to have the blood oxygen app working ... that’s one of the main reasons we bought the Apple Watch 6

APPLE MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT BLOOD OXYGEN APP IN CYPRUS. AS I CAN SEE MANY OF THE USERS IN CYPRUS ARE FACING THE SAME ISSSUE. THE RETAILER PROMISED THAT IT IS WORKING AND THE SAMPLE WATCH WAS ALSO HAD THE APP ENABLED. THIS IS VERY SAD BECAUSE WE EXPECT TO HAVE EQUAL TREATMENT WITH OTHER USERS, INSOFAR AS OUR REGION (CYPRUS/EU) SUPPORTS THE AFOREMENTIONED APPLICATION. PLEASE APPLE DO SOMETHING TO FIX THE ISSUE.

I watched those video. In results we will be lost in phone all activity history for all time, lost Apple Music downloaded tracks, and lost photos (only on phone, not on iCloud). Be careful, when you change account in iPhone you will be lost many no synchronized data, you must use iCloud for sync photos and other information before this process.
