Video stuck on “Preparing Video”

I recorded a video for my YouTube channel. After editing it, I try to crop out any unwanted borders. When I finish cropping out the borders, I wait for “preparing video”, but it’s stuck at about 25%, and doesn’t load anymore. Can someone help?

I was able to fix this issue by double tapping the video when it was stuck. The progress would go back to 0 and slowly make its way to 100%. I was able to do this twice.

seems the issue happens if you lock or move away from the photo app while it’s preparing.

Hello,

I’m hitting the same issue described, preparing video stuck at 25%. I’ve tried double tap, hard reset and reboot, but I can’t solve it.

Any other tips or any information about this bug?

I’m trying to edit a 35 minutes 4K 60fps video on IPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB. I have also the last iOS installed.

Thank you!

I am having the same issue right now and it is for a very VERY important thing. I cant believe apple says they have such good phones and will never have an issue and yet this is happening... I tried restarting my phone closing out of the video opening back up and even waiting 20 Minutes!! Im sitting her panicking on this stuff, because I assumed apple would not have these issues.

This is still happening to me too! I have a business and record my videos with my iphone 11. Sometimes it goes fine and transfer right over- other times it is stuck on processing and I cannot do anything with it! This is not only annoying but, it's affecting the production of my business.

APPLE GET ON FIXING THIS I KNOW YOU HAVE ENOUGH DEVELOPERS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE!

I think I finally figured out how to solve this on-going problem, in three easy steps:

Step 1: Determine your location relative to Silicon Valley, then turn and face it.

Step 2: Turn the phone onto the horizontal position and then hold down ALL side buttons simultaneously. NOTE: THEY MUST BE HELD DOWN EXACTLY AT THE SAME MOMENT!

Step 2: Say "Steve Jobs would be ******!" three times in the loudest voice possible.

ALTERNATE FIX APPROACH:

Hope that Apple will put resources to fix this glaring problem. The iPhone's best feature is its camera. How this is allowed to continue to happen is really disheartening. FIX IT APPLE!!!!!!!!!!

If Apple doesn't fix this, the only option left is to buy a Samsung product.
