Since the last iOS update - my calendar refuses to show information. Each time I try to open it - it says No Invitations and will not let me see anything else.

Anyone else having problems with the iPhone calendar after the latest iOS update?

My iPhone 11 Max Pro running iOS 14.5.1 daily (and unpredictably) won't open Calendar ... all it states is "No Invitations" ... there is no "DONE" button to push. The screen is simply frozen in white and the only way to open is to reboot the iPhone ... not something that one wants to do when you need to review your Calendar in a hurry. I have gone into Settings and changed the "Sync" function from "All Events" to about every permutation. It then works for a period of time (a minute to an hour?) and then reverts to the dreaded "No Invitations" screen (still without a "DONE" button) and I'm back to turning off / on the iPhone in order to open Calendar ... yet again for an indeterminant period of time before it defaults to "No Invitations." Can anyone please help .... Where's Apple on all this? Thanks.

HomerTheKing,

When my white screen displays "No Invitations", I can't close the screen and there is no button with which to "close the app completely." All that's left for me to do is to power the iPhone OFF ... wait a minute and then re-power (boot) the iPhone ... and when the Apple logo appears and disappears, Outlook works ... including Calendar. That is, until it mysteriously goes frozen again when I open Calendar ... Any suggestions?

The only thing that has consistently worked for me, is what someone else recommended which is to turn your phone to landscape when you have calendar open and then the details all seem to appear! When you turn your phone back to portrait whilst with the calendar open, you can then still see it. It only works whilst you have it open, so you have todo it again when you open calendar again, but at least you can see what’s in there!

Come on Apple - time for a fix!!!!!

I tend to disagree as there is a local cache of all calendar entries and even if you are in airplane mode the app is not responding the same as it did prior to 15.1 upgrade. All the same calendars and same volume of entries existed over time. This is a new issue vs. always existing. There is definately an issue, I am seeing a large number of people posting the same thing.

Hopefully a patch will be released soon.

Disagree all you want, but every time you open the calendar it checks for updates. And if you are in airplane mode there’s a good chance that slows it down even more, as the phone attempts and fails to connect to the server. And I doubt there is a patch for this very rare issue; it doesn’t happen with any of the 4 iOS devices in my household, with any of the 12 calendars the apps display. It’s an issue with your phone; it would probably be worthwhile contacting Apple for help with it using the Get Support link at the top of this page.

What is the source of the calendar data on your phone; go to Settings/Calendar/Accounts to see which calendars your phone syncs to.

reinstalling the app solves nothing :(

OK, I get that. But you haven’t explained what the problem you have is. Believe it or not, there is more than one kind of problem that you can have with an app. Without know what your specific symptoms are there is no way to help you resolve the problem. And I never suggested reinstalling the app as a solution (and I wouldn’t), so I don’t know why you said that to me.

tried the fixes in this forum and some work briefly, but the issue comes back. however, i did find something that works, if a bit janky. when you get the "no invitations" screen, turn the phone on its side, into landscape view, and the calendar appears. Now when you turn it back into its normal orientation, the calendar is still there. hopefully, a real fix will come soon, but at least this only takes a second to see your calendar.
