iPhone 12 Pro Overheating

i received my phone last week and first time I was in a Zoom meeting on my phone only half an hour and phone was overheard and stop working. I shut it down and let it cool and now working. It was not connected to a charger at the timell mom. I’m not sure what should I do.

The temperature warning message 10 minutes after opening the brand new box is what makes me think it’s overheating.

Oh and the burn on my hand also makes me think the phone is over heating.

Know what else makes me think it’s overheating, when Apple support won’t help me when i chat them, and they won’t replace nor refund me a phone that’s been out of the box for an hour.

I bought in one of the Ohio's T-mobile's store. So I went to the store and they told me that I had to go with apple, so I made an apoinment with apple store and they did a battery test and it said it was okay although they didn't do it in front of me, they made me wait outside. How I'm not sure if they actually did the test or not. So then they told me to go back with T-mobile and did so also refused to exchanged or return the phone.

M worried abut my phone coz why i m facing so much battery issue like is it not getting chrg properly nd whenever i m using my phone like anything browsing whatsapp anything m facing to much battery issue my phone getting soo hot nd i cnt even use my phone plzz help

Physical Apple Stores have not carried the iPhone 11 since the iPhone 12 was released.

iPhone 11 is still sold in Apple Store. 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max were discontinued however.

so you’re acting like USING your phone is the actual problem, right? I’m standing in a Verizon store and a guy just walked in who drove in from Dallas and fried his SIM card on his new 12 bc he was using GPS, playing music and the phone was on a charger.. which is what WE ALL DO on a ROAD TRIP!! Seriously, now?

When you signed up for the Beta program, you signed a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA), where you agreed to not discuss beta software anywhere publicly. You violated your agreement, so the forum hosts did what they're supposed to do. Are you not in the habit of reading agreements you sign?

I recently bought the 12 last weekend and it heats up when I’m using it but I wouldn’t say i over use it as I’m using it as I usually have when I had my 11 and it never over heated and it’s also heats up when I charge it. Anyone else ?

I too have been dealing with overheating issues and I know it’s overheating because the phone tells me to stop what I’m doing because it’s too hot to function properly. It causes small bugs like force closes and when FaceTiming the video lags even when I have a good connection.

I may not be the most tech-savvy human on the planet, but I feel fairly confident to call my phone’s behaviors overheating. If I wasn’t able to determine that on my own based on it getting so hot that it burns my hand, usually the black screen with the thermometer picture help me to figure it out.

And what about the fact that my phone randomly will drop service and won’t even load a simple google page- even when I’m next to someone with the exact same carrier and theirs is loading.

Yes! Thank you! It’s not just me, I’ll be sitting in my car talking in FaceTime or something, which I understand is more usage than taking videos, and it’ll do this! Such a pain especially when I can’t see the person I’m talking to!

I absolutely agree, somethings either not right, or it’s a setting that needs to be changed.

I posted this problem when I first got my 11 promax. I said I would never get an iPhone and I decide to and what a disappointment. I now see the 12s are having the same problem so I think I will go back to galaxy. Mine gets overheated and I’m outside if it’s sunny, cloudy, raining etc. it will dim within five minutes to where I can’t see anything. Not a good way to be able to take pictures in the summertime at the pool. I want to see how the 12s for doing so I’m glad I found this post. Now I know definitely stay away

Hi, I have iPhone 12Pro and noticed same issue with overheating. The phone is becoming very hot while charging or doing some reasearch...... even during a short phone conversation although i dont carry it during conversation as I have my Airpod. It is annoying as it is becoming very hot so i had to stop using it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is the problem here???? Any explanation ???
