iPhone 12 Pro Wireless Charging Issues

Same issue. I have an iPhone 12 an although wireless charging worked for the first week or so now it doesn’t work and tried on multiple chargers. Very irritated and frustrated with this. Apple should make a public comment on this issue.

It's super sad that Apple is now more hype than quality. I have had the displeasure to deal with their 'support' today. Complete waste of time, lots of words put together meaning nothing, total lack of integrity. You could say that not having to deal with them would be 'amaaziiing' - add Tim Cooke accent for effect.

I’m having the same problem with my new 12 pro. I’ve not yet got the new MagSafe charger. But I own several Qi chargers around the house. & none of them work with the new phone. But still work with my old iPhones.

Then Apple should not have stated that iPhone 12 series is compatible with Qi chargers

Instead state that SOME chargers are compatible and what the requirements of the charger needs to be.

All of this is annoyance about this problem is that Apple seem to be very reluctant to admit there is a problem at all.

As many have said it works sometimes or works for a few minutes after a reboot. Even replaced phones still don’t work.

I am curious that this didn’t come up in their testing but wonder if it’s affecting people who restored back ups from previous phones? And maybe less of an issue for people new to iPhone?

I have also some issue with Iphone 12 pro max Qi charging :

After 5 days uses the iphone 12PMAX not charge anymore until i restart the device.

At home : 6 differents Qi charger, same issue, and the QI chargers always worked perfectly with Iphone 10 and 10 XS max.

Not sure why people keep saying about mega charger.

Here how we ripped off.

Apple: we are saving environment so we are not adding headphone and power adopter, please have old power adapter or charger. WELL FINE THEN COST OF PHONE SHOULD BE LOW. No they will not compromise in price.

OK. Then now someone is saying to solve this issue must use mega save charger. Which mean we been fooled to use existing Accessories.

before ios update i never have issue with my Wireless charger. And after update i am facing this. Obviously a software issue OR APPLE BLOCKING US OTHER PRODUCT.

now if all above ok if we have to use mega charger then when we rest phone why its work again for at least one or two days?

You win, Apple. Nearly 1,400 "me too"s and you still pretend it's a collective fever dream. I'll not be buying a mag-safe as they apparently scratch the cases, but I'll need to chuck out the Belkin Qi chargers (I bought through Apple Store!) and stick to cables - thanks for that!

ding ding ding that is correct. It’s like buying a car and the car only working with pump gas from specific gas stations. There’s definitely specific specs and safety standards you have to follow and it seems apple just didn’t care to do the proper testing.

I give up. All of you can moan and whine to your hearts satisfaction.

I along with others in this thread have bought the charger I recommended and our phones are now charging perfectly.

You all can argue amongst yourselves and I'll leave you to moan and whine, which isn't going to get you anything at all.

Who know how each specific charger interference detection works. It might depend on the spike in current flow and Lower voltage unit would not produce enough current spike to fault out the unit. I not an expert on this just throw out a theory.

I have iPhone 12 pro and have wireless charges it works on and off and since two days so it completely stop working? My AirPods Pro does charge on same charger but nothing for the phone? This sucks guys apple can’t get simple charging right for amount of menu they charge for the phone

Noting recommended practices and denoting that not everyone has the issue is not “diminishing” others problems.

You have an issue but more data does not diminish your problem, though following conventional post-install procedures may resolve it, at least for some.

Mark me down having the same issue. Just got my iPhone 12 Pro, will not charge through two different cases and is sporadic with the cases off. So my older iPhones supported wireless charging but my newest one does not, nice Apple. Knew I should not have bought a new iPhone in 2020 - LOL.

My 12 pro max is charging fine using a third party charger, cable and wireless pad...? My phone software is 14.3... and was also working on 14,2... are you guys in the uk? I am... not sure if it is a us model problem...?

I am having this problem as well. When phone will not wireless charge, a reboot temporarily fixes it util a day or two later. Airpods and other iphones will charge on the same pad consistently without issue. My pad is an anker branded, iphone compatible pad.
