iPhone 12 Pro silicone case is turning ring/silent switch off

I have had an iPhone 12 Pro along with an Apple silicone case for four days now. From the start, I noticed that I kept finding my ring/silent switch in the "silent" position, even though I hadn't touched it. This happens 5-6 times every day with normal use.

It baffled me for awhile, but now I think that the edge of the silicone case, which is very narrow near the switch, is pressing against the switch and turning it off.

This is very annoying. Is it happening to anyone else?

Same issue here and it was driving me crazy. T-Mobile said it could be because I was still on Sprint, Apple said it was because i had Do Not Disturb scheduled. Nothing worked. A real mystery until I now can clearly see the the case doesn't wrap around the front edge enough and if you push on it it slides down and pushes the switch to silent. Poor design. I am disappointed because I otherwise like the case. I guess i have to return it and get another brand.

Apple's Silicone Case is covered under Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty.

Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty – Accessory - For Apple and Beats Branded Products Only.

You should contact Apple Support for more information and how you can submit a replacement.

I had the same problem. I went to the apple store and they swapped the case for a new one. The problem still persisted. I also found the apple silicone case did not protect my iPhone 12 pro in 2 drops . First drop the top right metal got dinged and the second drop the screen protector cracked. I’ve have several iPhones and dropped them plenty with a spigen case and never any damage. I’ve purchased a spigen case and will try return the second apple silicone case

Hi, I have an iPhone 12 pro max and the leather case . It is the same for me , the case somehow pushes down the switch and I find my the phone silent

will send back the case. i think the case is slightly too lqrg. As the edge it higher than the screen, in the pocket it presses the case down and pushes the silent /ring switch to silent. In never comes back up. !

i am sure we are not the only ones
