iPhone 7 lagging when unlocking

When unlocking two phones and Background 7 slows down, when you need to quickly open the camera, you need to wait about 10 seconds until these lags pass, it starts to get really annoying. No dfu modes, turning off auto brightness and other methods suggested here do not help! Apple, solve this problem! And stop deleting the post from this thread.

I can’t understand why Apple is ignoring this issue. Even if it is an older device but still many people are using it.

every one is facing this issue and not only 20-30 people litrally every iPhone 7 user !

What's so **** frustrating is my gf old iPhone 6s and my friend iPhone 6 works better than my newer iPhone 7 with this stupid stupid issue. I have been in Apple "ecosystem" for a long time but this kinda proves Apple is no longer a company they're used to be. IOS was a major bug-free OS but however with recent releases and sloppiness like this, Android is going take that place it seems.

I have the same problem with my iphone 7 32gb. I’ve been experiencing this problem since i updated my device to IOS 14. And it seems after all these 4 updates Apple doesn’t care about iPhone 7 devices. It’s very annoying to encounter such a issue. I hope soon it will be fixed.

I have been experiencing this problem since ios13, but the problem has worsened after updating to ios14. It used to happen very rarely on ios13 and I thought if I upgrade to ios14, the issue would disappear....

My device has never experienced shut down because of low battery health and the unused storage is almost 45gbs, therefore these factors DO NOT cause the above issue.

Really unfortunate that Apple is ignoring this and literally bullying us into buying new iPhones.

Can anybody test and confirm if this problem is solved in ios14.5 betas or if the frequency of it occurring has been reduced?

Just one more confirmation to this annoying and shameless bug.

I have a 7 Plus 256Gb model, a lot of gigs are, battery level is 82%, current IOS version is 14.4

The bug started to be observable after I did upgrade to IOS 14 version.

I tried to reinstall IOS, doesn't help.

It's feels like using a cheap android phone, quite often I just want to break it at all.

Shame to you Apple!!!

By the way the bug is not observable on iPhone 7.

Lol so my previous post got deleted but to be honest, I feel like it’s fixed, but I’m not gonna celebrate to soon because I have been facing this issue for a long time but the new version of the software (I can’t say the name because then it’s gonna be removed again) feels so smooth. But I’m not to sure yet so I’ll just continue using it to make sure.

14.4.1 did not fix the problem! Apple, when will you stop this bullying? If you need to quickly photograph something, it cannot be done due to lags. When other people watch your iPhone freeze, it looks very cool too.

iPhone 7 is the worst iPhone ever. My friend has ZERO complains with his iPhone 6s. Even my father’s iPhone 6 runs smooth. Why the heًll did I spend more money and get this shْit?! First the issue was missing unlock animation on iOS 12 and 13, Now? Unlocking my phone? LAGGING. Scrolling over home pages? LAGGING. Enabling airplane mode for while and turn it off back? Status bar glitchs and keeps showing “plane” icon instead of signals indicator ! Trying to swipe up to open control center when you have many apps opened in the background? It won’t respond and you have to swipe up slowly to open CC. And there is more of bugs and issues, in fact, every single update introduces new BUG ! What is this shiًt I’ve put my self in!

Please Apple software engineers do your fucًking job and fix these issues.

Bro I can’t imagine that! 4 MAJOR Updates and the fifth is coming soon without any mention of the problem or any fix ! Tones of beta versions, tones of feedbacks and reports and they doesn’t respond!!!!!!

I just fix mine problem with lagging, its simple really 😁 I can't believe I didn't do it earlier. What you need to do is step 1: go to xiaomi store, step 2: buy xiaomi mi 10T pro, step 3: sell iphone, Apple watch, step 4: cancel all apple subscriptions. Problem solved! Now I have very fast phone, 144hz display and everything is so fluid and going smoothly. Great cameras and not to mentioning battery life of 9-10h screen on time and 11-12h standby minimum. Apple bye bye cos you disappointed me for the second time and now there is no returning back. Guys see yaaa and I hope they fix problem for you all or you just do what I have done and have great phone, great cameras and battery life.

I just installed it and checked to see if the problem was still there. So far, I have not noticed it yet (I had my phone on silent mode because it looked like it occured more often when it was on silent mode).

Well deactivating Touch ID doesn’t work for me. I offered a workaround until this gets fixed. Of course I’m not happy it hasn’t been fixed yet, but I don’t work at Apple and I was just trying to help :)

I turned on silent mode, and after raising my cellphone to wake it and unlocking it immediately with Touch ID, it still lags.

So I think it’s more about the silent mode than about pressing the power button(it does cause the lag as well.)

You should dig into our discussion if you’re interested in it. The issue is actually quite complicated. We are all waiting for a fix, but unfortunately, there isn’t one even in the latest software update.
