I made a concert on and older Mac Book Pro and Mainstage 3. I wanted to play it on an iMac and Mainstage version 3.5. So I loaded the concert on the iMac and it works fine in edit mode, all buttons work and its plays well, but nothing will click in Perform mode. Every button on the screen does nothing. Is this a version problem or something else I am doing wrong? Its a fresh install of Mainstage 3.5 on the iMac.

If you are using a pre 2014 apple computer this is the way they tell you its time to get a new one. Give you an update that pushes you right off the ledge.
What I don’t understand is why some of you guys don’t have backups of previous MainStage versions and/or why you have auto-update activated?!? Crazy.
I am extremely distraught as it seems the latest MainStage update corrupted all my concerts. I have the opposite problem. My performance screen shows my patches but my edit screen tells me all my patches are the same instrument. I am freeking!!! Can anyone help or tell me how to get help Thanks
You’ll have to keep an eye on Apple’s release notes for new updates, in addition to preferably installing the update to test it yourself.
It’s a very simple matter to back up the MainStage application, install an update and revert to the backup if necessary. Just copy/paste the MainStage application somewhere on your HDD and rename it (e.g. MainStage 3.4.4), then do the update on the version of MainStage in your /Applications folder. You can also have multiple versions of MainStage on your machine provided they’re named differently. I’ve been doing this for about 13 years since MS 1.0.
I have the same problem, but after clicking around for a while it looks like the cursor is just misaligned. Still unusable though.

Can Ableton Live do what Mainstage does and also replace Logic Pro?
Ableton does a lot more than MainStage but cost significantly more and takes a lot more time to learn.
I am in the same boat with the update.
