iPhone 12 Pro Max camera issues

12 Pro user. Just happened last night during NYE. I recorded multiple photos having loud background noise on it. To my surprise, none of them got recorded. I was able to recover one video but the sounds were off - as in no sounds at all. Is it just me or anyone have encountered this already? Thank you!

On iOS 14.3 is happening almos the same to me, noise on photos and... look at this

Something is wrong with iPhone 12's cameras

If you adjust the exposure and other parameters in the Camera app you can get the same results.

More to the point, this shows there's nothing wrong with the camera itself, rather it's a difference in preference between the two apps.

For example, the Halide photo looks far too cold to me in terms of color balance.

ive been having a problem with my iPhone camera randomly closing and for some reason it will continually do it until I completely restart my phone and power it on . It does it with every app that has a camera as well.

Same here.... I have little green dots sometimes and it’s constantly flickering. Also, it seems to take a while to switch between different camera, vide , portrait etc. easily 1 sec for the camera to come up from the Lock Screen. So frustrating. I paid last bill early from XR to get 12 pro max.. should’ve stayed with it🤦‍♂️🤬

That is something I don’t get , I own pro max 512 go and can’t get the camera to focus- but when I took another pro max 256/128 the camera managed to get focus ( after 10 seconds)

Idk.. I hope so!! I thought because I was on IOS 14.2 ( because I didn’t want to up grade ) that was the problem... Nope! 14.3 same thing. Not my pic but it’s one of my problems. I had green dots on my black fur dog. My camera also is still laggy..

I am having the same issues with low light. It either shows up all black, pink and tiled looking like an Andy Warhol painting, or a combo of green/pink. Seems to happen in low light. Also makes some pictures flicker/bounce around. Ultimately can cause my phone to have to be shut down. This is very frustrating and hasn’t been fixed by any of the updates. This is my first major let down of an apple product considering I specifically waited for this phone because of the camera.

Yup! I’m having the same problem. Each update I do, I hope it fixes it but it hasn’t. It’s very frustrating.. I feel like I should’ve stayed with the paid off XR. I’m not sure if it’s just the software or is my phone having a legitimate issue???🤬🤦‍♂️

I turned off scene detection, smart HDR, proRAW, faster shooting and my photos are still very bad in quality and over-exposed. Please, give me answers someone, because apple is not helpinhg at all. They just run the test and say that everything is okay, or when you go to apple service they say that all models like this. To me this is not the answer.

I tried 30fps and same result. I am shooting indoors but, I have plenty of lights. There’s 3 led lights... it’s not low light shooting. It doesn’t matter what iso I’m on. It still stutters. Indoors, outdoors, no difference. Doesn’t matter 60fps, 30, 24... same result.

Its sad to hear that, is there a way to report this to a Developer so they will work on it and fix in next ios update? Camera is most important thing and this is not acceptable by anyone. I want to call Apple today and report all issues. IOS14.5 which is coming soon dont have on their list fix for any of above issues! because they have too many issues and thats the problem.

Face ID works a whole lot better than it did on my X. I’m really happy about that. With the X, it worked about half the time. On the 12 Pro Max, it seems to work about 90% of the time.

I said there is another factor.

If I or others can't reproduce it, the problem is not universal and there must be another factor involved, whatever it is.

The key to a solution is trying to discover what that is rather than just dismiss it as "hardware bad" or "software bad."

If you'd prefer not to do that, that's fine, but realize if the engineers also can't reproduce it, it won't ever be fixed.

That means if you couldnt reproduce any of my described issues that there are lots of not tested faulty iphones 12 pro out there. Why? because its my second iphone 12 pro with the same issues that i have purchased. Yours looks good and free from any issues thats good news for me - question is how can i get new iphone working free from issues/ faulty camera iphone 12 pro if i did get second time iphone with the same issues :/ any ideas please? can they check if there is any working phone out there in warehouse before sending it to me?
