Safari not opening "upload file" pop up window

When I try to upload a file to a website, Safari won't open the pop up window to allow me to browse my documents and select the file. I do get the Select file window (as in the screenshot) but then nothing happens when I click on it. This is with all websites not just this one (overleaf.com). Other browsers work. I have de-activated the ad blocker extensions (or any other extension) but it does not make a difference. Pretty annoying. Used to work fine but has stopped functioning since a couple of weeks. Any idea? Running macOS 10.14.6 and Safari Version 14.0.1 (14610.2.11.51.10)

Safari 14.0.3 which fixes this issue, is now available via the Software Update System Preferences pane.

Having the same issue here and the Apple support links are unhelpful. I tried unblocking windows and pop ups but still having problems with some sites.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing this link. I updated to Safari 14.0.3. I now see a finder box when I click on the upload but the sending of the file to the website fails.
