fitness plus not finding watch

This also occurred between my iPad and Apple Watch. The iPad couldn’t locate my watch and Fitness+ couldn’t start. After restarting both devices, they linked and Fitness+ worked perfectly!

I had the same issue. I did a restart on both watch and phone and it worked first go.

I solved this by unpairing the watch from my iPhone via the watch app and then re-pairing them and restoring my settings. Now it is finally synced to fitness.

I had the same issue. I tried resetting both devices. Still no luck. Then I checked for any available updates on my apple watch app and discovered there was a new one available. That finally solved the problem for me. Hope that helps you.

I was having the same issue but I contacted Apple Support. They asked me to go to the Home App in the iPhone that my Apple Watch is paired with. I was a bit skeptical, but it worked! The Home App in the iPhone prompted me to enter the *iPad* passcode. I guess that solved some iCloud keychain issue or something because now I can see the Apple Watch fitness stats while doing Fitness+ workouts everywhere (iPad, iPhone and Apple TV).

Indeed! Log out of your Apple Account, which logs you out of iCloud, reboot phone if need be, and when you are logged back in, if your fitness+ doesn't work still, check your subscription to make sure that you still have fitness+ as part of your package. Mine got downgraded for some reason - but was easily able to rectify that by choosing the right plan again.

I was having the same issues too. What I just did is toggled off the wifi on my watch, so that it is only reliant on the Bluetooth to connect my devices. So far, it is pairing to Fitness+ now and working again now. Hope that works for y’all too!

It’s a common Apple problem with cloud services / connections. Happened to me. To solve this; log out of iCloud and log back in again. To do this, on iPhone, go to “Setting” -> “User Name at top” -> scroll down to bottom “Sign Out”. Log back in. Should work.

Just had a successful Apple chat with this issue. I uninstalled the app from iPad. On phone make sure you’re up to date on iOS version. Unpair your watch and phone. Re-pair them. I used re-paire from backup and it worked fine. Ta da! Then reinstall app on iPad. Ta da again! Good luck.

heyyyy! So I was having this problem! I resolved it but updating faith devices to the latest software and then turning off Bluetooth on both devices. I turned Bluetooth back on on the devices and tried again, while my watch was unlocked and it connected!

Just turned phone off and restarted and hey presto Fitness+ synched to watch

I restarted all devices and was successfully able to do a workout today, although I didn’t register heart rate throughout. No Bluetooth headphones today, so maybe that does play a role....

Apple gave me a fix which worked. Download the home app on your iPhone.

That’s all I did.

I disengaged my AirPodPro ear buds and then it worked.

Restarting my watch worked
