iphone 12 Pro Max Still Ringing in Silent Mode

Its Bull **** I feel like handing Apple my phone use my unlocked Plus until they fix it or give me a new phone. When I go to my Porsche dealer to buy a new Porsche they do not make ne reboot software/ wait on hold for hours make appointments. Porsche would drive to my house and deliver a loaner Porsche until they got it fixed at ZERO cost. Apple employees are nice and helpful it's time for them to have a Geek Squad/ Apple Squad they make 100s of Billions time to spend on customer service. If all "US" Apple users/buyer did NOT line up like cows evetime a new device comes out. Maybe they would fight for our business on an overpriced phone/camera.

I literally spent two hours with support yesterday for them to do exactly the same thing I have done 3 times already. They also acted like they’re unaware of this being a widespread issue, despite the fact that this thread is on their support page.

I will print every page of this blog and hand it to them along with my receipt and ask for a refund or replace with a new phone! not a reconditioned phone, they will send if you do not go in-person. I never do anything exchanges online I go to the store.

Many test , they erase everything , they told me the issue is fixed now , the iPhone passed all thr test , and sad new I put my phone on silent mode plus sleeping mode ! And on my day off !!!! That's total BS! Apple knows they have a "Chip" issues on Millions & Millions of phones and cant replace or repair the phones until they get enough inventory.... Just my thought. I cant even get an appointment to the Genius Bar??? Apple makes me continue to use online service team. The Apple stores in Arizona only allows appointments with a personal shopper, or to pick up online orders "No Genius bar or customer service" "Apple's COVID-19 Rules"

I just looked back at when this issue first started happening to me. Might be a coincidence but it was when I started using dual sim & eSIM.

Are people who only use a single physical SIM (non eSIM) and no other sim/eSIM having this same issue? Hope that made sense.

I have to retract my earlier statement. Apple has no interest in making this right. After promising to take this phone back and send a replacement 11pro (2 different agents confirmed), they’re now refusing to make it right. This will likely be taken down so if you see this, screen shot it and all the messages on this thread. Evidence. I should mention also that I am in law school. Investigate all options at this point since this company has no interest in making things right.

I reached out to support and opened a case just to add to the cause.

First thing they wanted me to try was hard reboot on phone, like none of us have tried that *rolls eyes*

Next they want me to restore iPhone which i really don't want to do, because i think we can all agree that, it does not fix the issue

Ok im only posting this one more time for people that dont read the entire thread i did this back in February and have had no problems with ringing since then. My son does programming not for apple. He said to try this and others have tried it and it had worked! You have to do the one im gonna post a pic of to work not the others! look at the pic i have circled the one i used. I did update to the 14.5 and still going strong! Give it a shot or not!

How long/ many times did you have to bother them for a replacement? did you go to Apple or to the phone carrier you bought it from ? I appreciate your feedback! I have been given the run around since the day I bought it,

After the latest iOS 14.5 updated and still not solving the issue. APPLE please work on this, it is pretty annoying, especically in the morning that i was still sleep and the phone was on slient mode and still ring me up. i was so angry......!!!!!! it took my most precious time to rest.

I purchased two iPhone 12 Max, one fir me and another for my wife. She’s not experiencing the same issue as I do. But my phone rings while on silent mode and put the ringer tone all the way to zero. It’s very annoying specially while sleeping at night that keeps me waking. I have restored it and see no changes at all. Currently it’s 14.4.2 versions and experience the issue since January. I’m going to take it to Apple store and see what they can do to fix it.

Go back just tell her you did everything she recommended and you still have the same issue. Let her know you know about the chip shortage Apple has in "China" do to COVID-19 and have been getting millions of sub standard chips. Bottom line you want her to replace the Phone. I sell stocks and spend 18 hrs. a day listing to all the financial news. See below plus Apple stock has not had a up day for a week, And keeps lowering the past 30 days.
