Lobsterghost1, the people on this thread are in agreement that there is a defect/problem with the glass being used. Your constant negative comments are not adding one thing to the conversation other than being annoying and insulting. Is that your goal? If you can’t add to the conversation then please keep your negative thoughts to yourself.

It's nice you are all in agreement. At the end of the day that gets you nothing. Only Apple can agree there is a defect in the glass. And if they agree, they'll cover it under warranty. But if they don't agree, which is very likely, they won't and you'll have to pay for the glass to be replaced.

Also, when you buy the forum, you can tell what I'm permitted to say. This is not a forum where only people who agree with each other are permitted to comment.

The reason we discuss it here is because we want to know if it’s happened to other people and there are similar cases. Of course we have also contacted Apple directly, but this gives us an idea of how common this issue is. Ever heard of support groups? This is just to know that we are not alone in the very strange thing that happened to our phone.

LOL. Yes, I've heard of support groups. That doesn't change the fact that only Apple can determine if a phone has defective glass. So whether anyone agrees with each other here, means absolutely nothing. If it makes you feel better, I guess that's something. It may still cost you more money than you hope. Only Apple can determine that.

So Jolly, what do you think anyone here, can say that is useful? Nobody here works for Apple. Sorry, you don't like an honest assessment, which is nothing more than take your phone to Apple and they'll determine what they will do about it. Otherwise, when you buy the forum, you can tell me what I can say. Until then you can't. I have as much right to post here as you do.

I also have same experience with in 2 months of purchase and today also I seen a new crack in my iPhone 12 Pro.I have also many issues about its display and screen I visited 2 times at apple center as well but no solution even they said they don’t know when they have a solution I bought it in December 2020 within 4 months lot of issues and I waste my 4 months warranty as well .I don’t know what should I do?

Yes same thing happened to my iPhone 12 Pro Max, tiny cracks on top, bottom, left and right sides of the screen came out of nowhere, I didn't dropped my phone and it have screen protector, though everyday I find new cracks.

They are well aware of the issue. Apple management mandates their reps do everything that can to not take ownership. Any apple rep who tells you they are not aware of it is either following directive, or an imbecile.

My iPhone 12 is barely 6 weeks old. I have my phone in a clear protective case with a glass screen protector. I had not drop my phone. Yesterday I noticed the back had cracked to pieces. The front is untouched. How does the back crack with a protective case on it while the front remained intact and I scratched? FWIW, I can see a tiny point from which all the cracks radiate from. This is not quite an inch from the bottom center of the phone and just above where the USBc rests inside the phone while charging. There is NO mark/scratch on the outside of the the clear case directly over this pattern so I can rule out any external piece of debris acting as a fulcrum.

This is ridiculous. I have a $50 iPhone approved case from Apple and still two scratches. No chips. No gouges. Just scratches forming. What’s going on with Apple? There’s way more than just 1-2 people. Apple stand behind your product!

Which country are you in? It would be good to know how you get on with the screen replacement. Let us know if Apple recognise there is a problem or charge you for the screen replacement, please.

Apple's Ceramic shield sucks coz it is easily scratched. Apple knows this and should have built a screen protector to protect the ceramic shield, or at the very least included a screen protector with the initial purchase. They are going to have millions of ****** off customers like me.

Has anyone we else had a small

hairline crack originating from the left edge about three quarters down? Both of my 12 pros have . Very hard to see and can be felt with finger nail. I believe it is a stress crack.

Mine developed hairline crack too after owning 3 months. I’m not sure if i raise this issue to apple as it seems people saying apple doesn’t replace the screen if you don’t have apple care. Mine is iphone 12 pro max

When you buy the forum, you can tell me where I can come. And the point of this forum is to ask Technical Support questions from other users. No one here can help you if your phone cracked. Only Apple can help you. Complaining with other users gets you nothing. Unless it just makes you happy to complain?
