iphone 12 pro screen cracking

The same, i have hair line cracks slitting the screen in half held by the screen protector. The screen glass looks like it has internal stress issues to do what is happening. A pity Apple just want to charge to replace the screen, which where I am at the moment takes 2 weeks, so would have buy another and this one is almost brand new, and not a mark on it.

Sorry for the late response. Yes they changed the screen out. After giving me some non sense about “It’s not a known issue so we can replace it for free” I pressed the issue with a manager. They ended up saying it was a “Faulty touch screen issue”. I’m sure they did that as to not rack up cracked screen complaints to the point they have to fix them free.

I have same issue, tiny cracks on screen right edge, after 1 month same cracks on left bottom corner.

I went to apple service center they said it's my mistake and I don't have apple care+ but I noticed another issue which is a gap between screen and the metal frame of the phone so they replaced my phone for free.

You can include whatever you want in the link I provided. What you really should do however, is make an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options. The Feedback link will be read, but not responded to. It is a good way to alert Apple to issues, since they don't participate in this forum, but not the best way to get a resolution to an issue. The ONLY way to get resolution is to make an appointment with Apple directly.

Sorry for not updating you earlier but my issue got fixed today (finally).

Apple service center are very helpful here in UAE, first time I went there to fix the cracks issue and another issue which is a gap between my screen and the metal frame, they told me that my phone got damaged and that’s why there’s scratches but regarding gap issue they said it’s a deficit so they gave me new iPhone but the kept my old screen on it, when I reached home and started checking the phone I realized that the gap is still there so yesterday I went there again told them what happened again and they gave me new phone with new screen without any issues and they didn’t ask me to pay anything even though I don’t have AppleCare+

If anyone having this problem

go to apple service center ASAP and ask them to fix it, they are very helpful they will fix it or give you new device even if your screen is scratched or cracked, I went there today with my scratched screen they compared my device with the store demo device and they said “yeah there’s something wrong” then they gave me new device without asking me to pay any amount though I don’t have AppleCare+

My I phone 12 pro screen cracked by itself sitting on the leather couch arm while watching tv. There is a pressure point down in the lower left corner but it is sticking out and not in like the pressure is coming from the inside of the phone maybe getting to hit on the internals? I’m taking it to the apple store today hopefully apple will look into this and replace this defective device and look into it further and not just try and say you had to drop it. I have been using apple for 10 years without any problems and now I spend 1100 on a phone for it to crack in such a way is beyond me!

Heavy or not, if you've ever sat down with the phone in your back pocket, you put enough pressure on the screen to cause it to crack. That is user caused damage. Don't sit on your iPhone.

If there is a chip out of the phone, it was dropped. iPhone glass doesn't just crack or chip spontaneously. If you purchased AppleCare+, the cost of a new screen is $29. If you didn't, the price is $279.

i am noticing micro cracks in my 3 months old 12 pro, screen protector and Nomad leather folio from day 1. Never dropped it, so this was unexpected news. Going to a service provider on wednesday for a closer look at my screen.

I have this same issue after 2 months of use and I've treated this phone like the expensive jewelry it is. Never dropped or bumped it and it's been in my down jacket pocket so it's amply protected. My previous iphone 6s lasted 4 years in the same jacket with zero issues. It has to be a manufacturing defect because iPhone 12 glass is supposed to be stronger than the 6s? Doesn't make sense.

Yes, I was talking on my phone today an iPhone 12 max and the screen started cracking under the screen protector installed by the Apple shop at the time of purchase in December. There are no scratches or chips anywhere on the phone. These are propagating stress cracks

I had recently bought an iphone 12 pro max with screen protection and case and just a few days into using the brand new device I see little cracks on the edge of the device and I am 100% sure that I have not dropped my phone and I also had a iphone 11 with case and screen protection and it is still in great condition but I'm upset that I have small tiny cracks on the edge of my new phone and I had a hard time trying to tap out of some apps I have I really like my iPhone but without these small tiny cracks that should've been fixed before allowing the general public having such a great phone

If you have the AppleCare and insurance through your wireless carrier it’s 29.00 to replace the screen . Contact Apple support and tell them about it. Your phones information will indicate in settings if your covered by Apple as it has information about your carrier and purchase date. T-Mobile even gave my 29.00 towards my phone bill to compensate after my complaint about the crack. Apple even set up my appointment at a local Apple store for me and followed up with a courtesy call.

I came here to see if anyone else was having this problem. I have a nick in my screen that came from nowhere. I am VERY careful with this phone. It’s a 12 Pro Max. I’ve had it almost 60 days today out of blue I see a little pixelated area. Rub my finger over it and it a nick in the glass. It literally was not like that even an hour ago and not left my side or been dropped. I’ve not left my house. Very odd. I have had iPhones for many many years and never had anything like this happen with my screen. Seems this screen is very fragile...

AND the camera sucks on top of it. Won’t focus on anything! Supposed to be the best phone around and I am more than disappointed.
