But lobsterghost, the cracks I have experienced on my two iPhone 12 pros have both been like a typical stress crack. Both originated from the edge and both were on the left side below the volume button. Both were extremely hard to see. I would bet most people couldn’t see it. Actually the first phone I sent back was returned no problem found . It took photos and phone calls to explain. Many many users probably would not clean and inspect their phones to the same degree I do. I haven’t yet done anything with the second phone because I want apple to have time to see if there is possible a product defect in time. If not, I most have been the unluckiest person around. I have been one of the biggest supporters of apple products because of their quality and durability. My MacBook Pro is over five years old with absolutely no issues. It is parked on top of a pile of Windows operating PCs which have been nothing but trouble. I have a pile of Nokia phones that worked perfect but had an unrepairable charger port defect . When I switched to apple I went from a 6 to a ten to a 12. The 10 developed a screen flicker issue which was fixed and was covered by a factory bulletin. That was sometimes hard to reproduce but I was able to provide apple with videos of the phone at the time it was acting up. That problem
rendered the 10 useless when it occurred . So my iPad, iPad Pro, iPod, iPhone 6, and macbook pro have been flawless. The iPhone 10 & 12 have had some issues.
I am a believer that Apple makes a tremendous product as well as has excellent service. Unfortunately in this unsettled world the apple store near me is nestled in an area that I feel has become unsafe to visit. This leaves me to only being able to send the phone back or take it to an authorized repair . Oh well, I have said enough but just wanted to make clear my issues on both iPhone 12 pro’s are tiny hairline cracks that originate from the edge and only extend out about 3/8th of an inch. Both could be felt with a fingernail. I am, like you, seeing that most of the cracks reported on this thread are unique.
