iPhone 12 pro max doesn't charge

After reading all of these, it sounds like we all are having the same problem. My 12 pro Max would not take a charge on the wireless charger last night for the first time since I got it a month ago. I had to plug it in, which it did start charging. I know it’s a phone problem, because I have four of these wireless chargers around the house and the phone doesn’t work on any of them. Ugh. New phone new issues

Having the same exact issue here. Waited over a month for my back ordered iPhone 12 Pro Max. Finally got it late December, haven’t had any issues until today (2 months later) now my phone won’t charge unless it’s plugged into the car. I haven’t tried the Magna wireless charger yet. I’m using a brand new APPLE brand lightning cable & power adapter that came with my previous iPhone 11 that I held onto. My old charger & adapter had been working with zero issues until yesterday. Swapped out for the new ones never used before from previous phone, worked last night, today nothing. It’s like the charger is dead. I called Apple support, they claim they have not heard of this issue yet (even though I’ve read numerous reports of this). The nearest Apple store is a 2hr drive away. If I have them rush me a new phone in the mail they want to charge me $1099. What? I should not be having this issue. Phone is under warranty & I have no water or dropping damage to my phone. Ridiculous.

Mine has charger issues now all of the sudden four months in went from overall battery from 100 to 98 percent I have had it since November that it came out I’ve charged it 109 times they said they ran diagnostics and nothing is wrong I got two different answers th said because I did the last update it changed it the other lady said no it had nothing to do with it it’s just the use of my phone mind you I have been taking good care of it I’m not sure what’s going on ! I’m starting to wonder about Apple lately ! I may just eventually go back to Android as much as it pains me !

Trying to understand your post..

Are you having issues charging your phone? Or you just don't like that the battery health has dropped to 98% and you're calling that a 'charger issue'?

If the latter, then there is nothing wrong. If you've gone thru 109 charge cycles, that's about 20% of the life the battery is designed to last for. (should get 500 charge cycles by the time it drops below 80%)

If your health is only showing 2% down, that's actually pretty good.

So if that's why you might go back to android, you'd be doing so just because batteries degrade over time?

AFAIK it won't be any different with an android.

I have the same issue. I make sure the charge icon is displayed before I go to sleep only to wake up with a lower battery percentage.

You can even see on my battery graph where I plugged the charger in last night and yet it slowly drained overnight & that’s using the Apple USB 240v power outlet & charging cable.

No debris in the port & lightning connector in as far as it goes.

Having the exact same problem that everyone here is describing. I’ve also tried all the tips people are suggesting (plugged directly into wall vs extension cord, restarted phone, updated phone - I’m on 14.4.2 right now - port is clean, there is no moisture in the charging port and the phone has never been exposed to water or moisture, NOTHING is working. When the phone shows it’s “charging” the percentage doesn’t move, or worse, it still goes down. I have no idea what to do... Has Apple acknowledged that this is a huge issue yet?

Same issue here ! Had my iPhone 12 Pro Max for just over a week and charging with cable stopped working.

I think it stopped working once I start using the original magnetic apple wireless charger.

I have the apple 20w usb-c charger with original cable(s)!

Second problem is that apple car is not working anymore as it require for my car a cable connection.

I will try to go this week to the apple store in the hope to get some help or answers!

Add another one with this problem, iPhone 12 Pro Max not charging with an official 20w Apple usb c charger and the supplied cable, yet they charge the old iPhone 8 Plus fine. It does charge wirelessly but will still be returning the phone for a refund.

Not sure who you called and spoke to but usually if the store carries them they give you a brand new one not a used unit especially if it’s a new model and you had it for a short amount of time and it ends up being an apple problem for sure it’s not used least not in the store I go to

I’m having the same problem £1000 phone can’t change it properly. Fully influenced my decision to sell it and go with something else. Iv been going off apple for years there quality is not the same as it use to be

Same problem. My iPhone 12 Pro Max suddenly stops charging with my original 20W USB-C Apple charger. It's stops charging suddenly at a percentage much lower then 80%. It works fine on my iphone 11 Pro and iPad Air 2020. My old Apple 12W charger works fine on my iphone 12 Pro Max. The Max is 11 months old.

A 20 watt USB-C from Apple is the fastest.

If I restart, my 12pro Max will take a magnetic charge. But it sure is a pain to have that drop out frequently and have to restart.
