My Apple Pencil is connected and paired but still doesn’t work.

Make sure the tip of the Pencil is screwed on snugly ( NOT too tight, just snug ).

Apple Pencil 2 missing double tap options I have an 11” IPad Pro 3rd gen with Apple Pencil 2. IOS 15.7. When I go to settings to check or change the pencil settings, I don’t have any options to do so. I just get something about scribble. Double tap doesn’t work on the pencil. I’ve restarted, rebooted, disconnected and everything else that has been suggested to no avail. What’s next.

Yes it does. Looks all good when I am charging. Now it is 100% still no response when writing.

Basically all apps. I can’t even use the pencil to open any app. The main app I am using is Notability.

I checked those two setting. “Only draw with Apple Pencil” is off. In Notability, “palm detection” is on. i didn’t change any setting after recharging.

Tip screwed properly. Tried tight/loose the tip a bit, still no response to any apps. It is so odd as this just happened after the pencil experiencing out of battery and no response after recharging.

Thanks for your advice. But still doesn’t work. Shall I disconnect blue tooth before reboot in this way? And shall I try “forget this device” under Bluetooth? If forget, how to re-pair again?

Still under 1 year warranty. Called Apple support to repair. But take days which I don’t have a pen to work with.
