PowerBeats Pro shutting down with battery
When using my Powerbeats Pro, the left earpiece shuts down randomly, even if it shows more than 80% battery on my iPhone. This only happens with the left one, the right one works normally.

Here's some tips to decrease your chances of either right or left Powerbeats Pro shutting down with battery issues. I had all the same problem in this thread, but haven't had one incident after I followed these steps.
PS! Small batteries like in these earpieces would obviously decrease its battery over time. So if its over 2 years old don't expect more than approx 4-6 hours of playing time. In some cases 3-4. (depending on the weather / temperature)
1 - Clean the case connector / earpiece - Make sure nothing is blocking your earpieces from charging.
2 - Make sure the "disfunctional" earpiece (right or left) is getting its charge in its case. If both pieces are charging together, it will show up as one unit (on iPhone). Open the case and pull out one earpiece from the charging case to check if the other one is really charging and repeat with other one. (It should show a lightning indicator above your earpiece if its charging)
3 - (In case of flickering) If you open the charging case and either right or left earpiece is "flickering" inside the iPhone connector, hold in the reset button on the case (with earpieces inside) for 20+ sec until you see a red light flashing and reset your earpieces. If it keeps flickering it means something wrong with the connector and eventually leads to disconnection.
4 - Last but not least, I used to wear my earpieces long before I would start my workout. I could drive with earpieces in for 30min - 1hour+ before even starting the actual workout. This obviously decreases your chances of obtaining battery through the whole workout.
So make sure you have charged each earpiece to max and bring your case (with the earpieces inside charging) to wherever your starting your workout, and only put in and use your earpieces when your starting the workout.
These steps should increase your chances of having battery throughout your whole workout :)
Has anyone with the problem tried this with iOS15? I can’t upgrade yet as I have a managed corporate phone but wondering if anyone else has? TIA!
I'm on ios 15.
the 55% battery shut down on my left buds is still here unfortunately.
Same here, just upgraded to ios 15 and the problem persists. There is no firmware update bundled with the new OS version.
Same. Problem still persists despite upgrading to iOS15. Oh Well. My Powerbeats pro is just a paperweight. Wish Apple would acknowledge the problem.
Same problem here, right ear cuts off when 55%, comon Apple we need a solution!!
Having same issue both shut down at 50%. Has anybody resolve this issue?
Also just realized that the left bud drains quicker than the right.. both started at 100%… right at 88%, left at 55% and the left just crashed!
I have the new firmware and the earbud is still cutting out. :(
I think their overall support network has dropped over the last bit. They used to be great now not so much
Apple's absolute silence on the widespread problem is also very frustrating.
Anyone have any ideas on how to address this?

did apple replace your pros?
I’m having the same problem - right headphone turns off despite being charged, left one continues working. Tried resetting, draining and charging again, updated ios - nothing helps.
Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do for now. Apple does not monitor these forums so their engineering team has no clue the issue exists. Until they do, there will not be a solution.
Can you send me the right earbud? How do I get in contact with you?
Exact same issue here.
Apple, can you please investigate? Left one dies at 55% and then drains.
