Can't sign into Snapchat on iPhone

Hello, i have a problem with my snapchat account is that everytime i try logging in from this specific phone, my account gets automatically locked but if i try logging in from any other device, like my old iphone for example, it works perfectly fine so what is the problem with my phone? Why won’t it let me log into snapchat? And im sure that i didnt install any third party apps or anything else.

No one in this user-to-user forum has any idea why SnapChat deleted your account. And Apple has no way of knowing either. Only SnapChat can answer your question. We know from experience that SnapChat will block accounts that have repeated serious violations of their Terms of Service. Depending on how serious the violation was the ban can be temporary or permanent. And we know from the experience of other users posting in this thread that they can enforce it by banning the device you are using, so creating a new account is not a workaround.

so what I’ve learned cause I am having this same problem is that it’s based off your phone Imei (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number and each one is specific to each phone and there is no changing them so when Snapchat bans you for whatever reason they ban your imei number so I just log in on my old iPhone and carry 2 phones around until my next upgrade

UPDATE:

So I (not me but written that way…read on) stopped using Snap for 30+ days. I was able to log in from another person’s phone so I thought it was something tied to my number or my device (iPhone 13).

WARNING: DO NOT trust any of these people that answer any number of social media posts about this issue that say “I had the same issue until I found PCFixrGUY on IG…” or anything of the like. All frauds. So be careful.

However, I was able to contact actual Snap support on Twitter. After some research many said to call them out on Twitter. Posted something including @snapchatsupport. They replied in under 30 min and had me DM them.

They were ready to help until they discovered I was asking on behalf of my son’s acct. Kudos to them, security-wise, they would NOT proceed but sent me the following:

Unfortunately, we are unable to take action based on third-party inquiries. Please have the Snapchatter reach out to us here: http://support.snapchat.com/i-need-help

Well, we never did that…BUT, I had my son try logging in again and…it worked!!! So, was it a 30 day suspension? Don’t know. Was it a known problem that was fixed? Don’t know. But…reach out to them via Twitter (even if you have to create a Twitter profile for the purpose) or be patient. OR you can try that link I posted from their message.

Best of luck.

Have you found a solution? Mine is doing the same exact thing. Let’s me log in on any other devices. Did you end up having to just get a brand new device?

For issues involving accessing Snapchat, contact Snapchat.

For restrictions or bans or problems logging in, only Snapchat can alter or clear those.

I don’t know why I can’t open Snapchat on my iPhone

Delete the app, force-restart the iPhone, then re-download the app.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

If you are encountering a Snapchat ban, or other issues or errors with the app, or the app is crashing, contact the app vendor; contact Snapchat.

My conclusion is not very conclusive. Snapchat is an App which requires an internet connection. If you cannot log into your snapchat account on your phone, you have an issue with the app. But Apple doesn't own the app, Snapchat does. So you need reach out to Snapchat Customer Support to work with them to resolve whatever the issue is with your app on your phone.

A couple simple things you could try on your own, would be to delete the app fully off your phone, then reinstall it from the App Store, which if there is an update you are missing, would be downloaded when you add the app back. Otherwise, contact their support for help.

I have had the same issue and have found the resolution to the problem in question.

Snapchat WILL NOT allow you to log onto the phone you are having problems with no matter what your reasoning is.

The issue is, your phone has a unique IMEI number and due to that number being unique and registered to your personal phone the only option you have is to change the IMEI. Unfortunately, the only way to do so is by getting a new phone due to it being illegal to change the IMEI number set to your phone.

as soon as you make a new account Snapchat will match the IMEI number linked to your phone and will delete the account.

I have suffered with this issue for 5 months and have now bought a new phone, put my SIM card in and logged in with my iCloud and my 100th account over the span is working smoothly. So that rules out it being an issue involving the above.
