Can't sign into Snapchat on iPhone

Hello, i have a problem with my snapchat account is that everytime i try logging in from this specific phone, my account gets automatically locked but if i try logging in from any other device, like my old iphone for example, it works perfectly fine so what is the problem with my phone? Why won’t it let me log into snapchat? And im sure that i didnt install any third party apps or anything else.

It’s your IMEI number that Snapchat is blocking. You’ll have to get a whole new phone IF you’re locked out. Basically Snapchat banned your device from making any new account. Also, if you login to someone else’s account on your phone or make a new account, it’ll automatically get locked. Best thing to do is just get a whole new phone.

so what I’ve learned cause I am having this same problem is that it’s based off your phone Imei (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number and each one is specific to each phone and there is no changing them so when Snapchat bans you for whatever reason they ban your imei number so I just log in on my old iPhone and carry 2 phones around until my next upgrade

Hi I had the exact problem and was able to log in through my brothers phone as well, I had to get a new phone. I contacted snapchat support with bot responses as well. Apple support said it might be that the phone is device banned by snapchat and he recommended reaching out to snapchat, which was pointless once again. I ended up having to get a new phone. Hope that helps.

If your iPhone happens to be used and the previous owner was permanently banned from Snapchat then Snapchat will ban the device IMEI itself, making it impossible to either create a new account or log into an existing one. As of right now Snapchat does not have any sort of support for this, and judging by Reddit posts in the past year it has become a huge problem with accounts being banned by their system if it remotely detects anything that might be breaking their Terms of Service. There are a couple change.org listing for this issue here that I recommend signing: https://chng.it/mf7pTcZRBH https://chng.it/mf7pTcZRBH

I’m sorry you found yourself in that situation! I wish you the best of luck!

For those that are trying to provide answers and guidance, thank you. However, everyone needs to realize that Snapchat has ZERO support. I saw one post which accurately describes that they only have bots answering general questions. No phone number. No chat. No Snapchat exclusive forum. Nothing. If I wasn't tied to this app because so many college organizations now use and link thru SC, I'd simply go back to texting. Great app when it's working but the stress and headache of this scenario has really left a bad taste.

Wow that’s crazy. Because I just got an iPhone 11 but it was free. A friend gave it to me. Automatically locked out. I went without snap fir a week. 1 hr ago I got home from traveling and logged into my old phone, it let me in no questions asked. I was able to read msgs and everything. So then I’m like coo, I’ll just log out, then log in my iPhone 11 then bam immediately locked.

So based off your notion, someone got permanently locked out on this iPhone 11 before me???

and if I just go to T-Mobile for ex and buy a new phone everything will work?

UPDATE:

So I (not me but written that way…read on) stopped using Snap for 30+ days. I was able to log in from another person’s phone so I thought it was something tied to my number or my device (iPhone 13).

WARNING: DO NOT trust any of these people that answer any number of social media posts about this issue that say “I had the same issue until I found PCFixrGUY on IG…” or anything of the like. All frauds. So be careful.

However, I was able to contact actual Snap support on Twitter. After some research many said to call them out on Twitter. Posted something including @snapchatsupport. They replied in under 30 min and had me DM them.

They were ready to help until they discovered I was asking on behalf of my son’s acct. Kudos to them, security-wise, they would NOT proceed but sent me the following:

Unfortunately, we are unable to take action based on third-party inquiries. Please have the Snapchatter reach out to us here: http://support.snapchat.com/i-need-help

Well, we never did that…BUT, I had my son try logging in again and…it worked!!! So, was it a 30 day suspension? Don’t know. Was it a known problem that was fixed? Don’t know. But…reach out to them via Twitter (even if you have to create a Twitter profile for the purpose) or be patient. OR you can try that link I posted from their message.

Best of luck.
