Even if i turn off dolby and reinstall my music it doesn't work...

this is pretty unacceptable of apple, people pay for this stuff...

idc about the spacial audio or losless audio, but if this problem isn't recognized any time soon, I might switch to spotify or deezer. Just want to listen to my songs offline

Hello Everyone, I’ve found the right answer.

it’s Dolby Atmos. Not switching it off completely (cause then what’s the point) but switching of Download In ‘Dolby Atmos’. I sat down and really thought about what was happening with the 15 Second thing. Then I realised that it only happened to Downloaded music that was downloaded after Dolby Atmos arrived. So if you had downloaded songs let’s say a month ago, those songs will play just fine. However if you switch on Downloads in Dolby Atmos the songs you play when you activate airplane mode will only play for 15 seconds. So for now, just switch off Dobby Atoms and download your content again - which *****, I know.

To the folks at Apple, I will be waiting for my honorary annual subscription to Apple One for my services. Dobby is a Free Elf! Mwa!

I’m facing the same issue but mine is specific to when playing Apple Music on my Apple TV. All settings/restarts/sign out and sign ins recommended above were tried but it still happens.

Quite a few songs (which worked fine a few days ago) stop at 15 seconds. This is regardless of whether songs are played from my library or just via browsing. not specific to Dolby Atmos tracks either. The 15 second cut happens with lossless and normal (non lossless) tracks too.

It appears to me that songs play normally IF the player gets a WiFi or cellular data connection to Apple Music. SOMETIMES. Sometimes NOT. Occasionally some songs play normally even if cellular data and WiFi are turned off. As a retired tech support analyst, I remember these kinds of issues being categorized as random and sporadic i.e. hard as **** to diagnose and resolve….

Apple are essentially denying this is even an issue. I have spoke to them twice and had long drawn out web chats with them. They have no idea how to fix it currently and claimed I was the first person to log if. BS

the told me to switch phone off and on, as if I hadn’t already tried. Delete and reinstall Apple Music, meant I lost all songs. Made zero difference, and also log out of iCloud. Again lost all downloaded songs plus other things like Apple Pay got deleted.

they have no idea how or why this is an issue.

please fill out a feedback form they need to take this issue seriously.

please be aware though you will not get lossless over Bluetooth headphone even apples own. And so it is a waste of time if you like me use airpod pros. You need to use a cable connection to get lossless so after all this messing about you won’t even notice any improvement about that of CD quality.

I really hate it when a company starts making these kind of statements. I as you have found this bug comes and goes. I have logged in and out of iCloud which was a real pain because it affects other things like song downloads, Apple Pay (found that out while trying to make a purchase at the store). If the song keeps stoping at 15 seconds that should be easy to solve since it is consistent. Maybe Apple should us some of its talent to look at the code and fix the darn problem. Giving us a gift that does not work is very upsetting.

I’m having the same issue with downloaded lossless (not spatial and not high res lossless) with a large library and most songs stop after 15 seconds. It’s really annoying. I’ve tried logging out of ICloud, even removing all the downloads and re downloading. Nothing seems to work. My wild guess is it’s some kind of authentication issue on Apple’s end. Maybe I should just go to pure streaming but I like knowing I’m not beholden to data availability.

Hello I am new here. I have been experiencing the same with Apple Music stopping at 15 seconds whilst using Sony WI1000X. First time I’ve experienced this as I tend to use Apple Music for my Sonos Roam without any issues from my IPhone 12. Anyway all this happens using home wifi. I followed one suggestion to sign out of iCloud and restart then sign in to iCloud and that worked. Music played beyond 15 seconds however I was not using the Sony WI1000X. The moment I used the Sony WI1000X it stops at 15 seconds again. I then tried turning off the Dolby Atmos on my iPhone settings and it seem to work for now with the Sony headphones WI1000X. Hopefully a more permanent fix comes through.
