Even if i turn off dolby and reinstall my music it doesn't work...

this is pretty unacceptable of apple, people pay for this stuff...

idc about the spacial audio or losless audio, but if this problem isn't recognized any time soon, I might switch to spotify or deezer. Just want to listen to my songs offline

I have downloaded 20gb if looses audio over WiFi.

next day got aware that when I thought I’m listening offline download music

mit drained my my internet over 10gb. 😡😡

then I disabled my mobile data and had the same you facing. Wasn’t playing after 15 second. Disabling Dolby solved my problem

but this is dumb. With out warning it used my mobile data on downloaded music. Apple should should own an apology and do something extra. I paid another 20$ so I have internet on mobile for the rest of the month.

I did everything in this thread: switched to CarPlay via cable vs. Bluetooth, re-downloaded all music, signed out of iCloud, signed back in, hard restart, shut off Dolby and lossless, turned them on--and still, the problem persists. Played a few tracks today in the car on cellular data, and then everything seemed to play. This seems to be a communication problem between how the Apple Music files are encoded and the phone disabling cellular data for music etc. Spoke to Verizon and it's not a problem on their end. Did a Genius Bar appt. and two chats online. Nothing worked. Come on, apple engineers! work on it!

I'm having the same problem. Only started when I re-downloaded most of my music library in lossless. Tried all of the fixes. For some tracks they play beyond 15 seconds but only when I'm connected to a cell network (iPhone 12 pro max) but other tracks simply won't play beyond 15 seconds under any circumstances. How on earth did this issue not get detected in testing?

No matter what I do, it comes back to these problems. Doesn’t matter if it’s downloaded or streaming but it does matter if it’s lossless. That lossless won’t play with blue tooth or CarPlay is nonsense. It will. You may end up with reduced resolution but frankly I don’t hear it. Sounds fantastic to me using standard lossless not the high resolution option. This is the shame of the current situation - when it works it’s glorious. Please Apple affect a quick fix.

I have tried all different suggestions and it worked for a couple of days but today the issue remains… I’m using music when commuting or at the gym so it’s a real big issue for me. It’s been 2-3 weeks now on my iPhone 11. It does not look that there is any updates on apples sides.

JFYI, I have checked ‘Deezer’ which provides almost the same contents, same price with up to HIFI sound quality.

i will switch to Deezer during the weeks as it starts to be stressful!

could luck to all!

I solved the issue. First of all you wanna,

1. Delete all your downloaded music.

2. Turn Off Sync Library

3. Turn Off Dolby Atmos & Lossless Audio

4. Set "Download in Dolby Atmos" Off

5. Turn Sync Library back On.

And you should be good to go. I'm afraid some of us won't be able to use Dolby Atmos & Lossless Audio until Apple fixes that bug. If you've been using Apple Music for many years and don't want to switch to other streaming service just like me, this should work.

I may have resolved this. I followed the troubleshooting steps that was provided to me by the support team but one thing that was not mentioned was if the Lossless audio is enabled or disabled. So it only makes sense that if you delete the songs and re-download them again, the downloads would have the new format (Dolby Atmos and Lossless). What I did is I went to Settings > Music > Audio > Dolby Atmos > Always On and then after that I went to Audio Quality > Lossless Audio > On (it has to be on for both Wi-Fi streaming and Downloads). And it worked! I haven’t had the issue since. Let me know if this works for you.

I had already done that but still have intermittent (although seems less) issues. Interestingly enough, while streaming in my car, a song came on and it stopped at that 15 second mark. I skipped it, played through the next song....and then went back to the song that stopped and it played through! Can't understand that one...all while on bluetooth.

Mine has not resolve itself. I turned off cellular data for Apple Music and not hooked to WiFi. Started a spatial audio song and just like normal it stopped at 15 seconds. I arrived at work and as soon as the iPhone hooked onto wifi the music started. Pretty simple. There is some kind of check that the iPhone or Music App does at 15 seconds. No connection - NO GO! Let us just start on the privacy that Apple claims. It is checking on you! This is a bug. What are you doing at 15 seconds Apple? Stop It!

I tried the recommended answer but after many tries, what exactly worked was.

Go to settings -> your name -> sign out.

Go to general -> iPhone storage -> music-> delete all songs.

Turn off your iPhone and turn it back on.

Sign in to your Apple account.

Re-download all the music over wifi.

Once all of it is downloaded - Put your phone in airplane mode and disable wifi to test if the 15 second problem is gone.
