Sign out iCloud in your device, restart, sign in again to iCloud. Then open Apple Music, sign in and you are done.
That worked for me.
If I turned the mobile data off it stops playing. Then I turned it back on it was working fine. Hope it helps!!!
i facef the same issue it was so frustrating but it worked for me after I deleted downloaded music, disabled lossless and Dolby atoms then it started working normally afterwards
Well all I did was reset all settings and then reloaded my songs, so go to setting, select general, select reset then reset all settings (will not remove any of your data)
Wait until iOS 14.7. Notes indicate it fixes the unexpected stop in music in Atmos and Lossless. It is about time.
did you check if lossless is enabled on your audio quality settings?
Go to settings then music then audio quality then open the lossless and let all the downloads be lossless this this worked with me
(delete all the library and download it again)
What worked for me: Delete the broken downloads, turn off Dolby Atmos and lossless and then redownload
What worked for me was i allowed ALL of my downloaded music to play even for a few seconds using wifi connection. After that, even offline, all downloaded lossless music files played normally. Hope this worked for you all too. ✌🏼
Mine has not resolve itself. I turned off cellular data for Apple Music and not hooked to WiFi. Started a spatial audio song and just like normal it stopped at 15 seconds. I arrived at work and as soon as the iPhone hooked onto wifi the music started. Pretty simple. There is some kind of check that the iPhone or Music App does at 15 seconds. No connection - NO GO! Let us just start on the privacy that Apple claims. It is checking on you! This is a bug. What are you doing at 15 seconds Apple? Stop It!
I've been following this issue since the beginning. Thought I would post what's happened to me in case it's happening to others as well.
The update to 14.7 did not work for me on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Lossless tracks over wifi and cellular still stop at 15 seconds.
However, since converting all of my iTunes purchases over to Apple Music since the announcement to lossless tracks was made on June 6, I've noticed some interesting things:
1) Only my purchased tracks from iTunes that I am streaming in lossless stop after 15 seconds. Does not matter if they are played over wifi or cellular - they stop after 15 seconds. If these same tracks are downloaded they play fine.
2) Any track that I add to my library directly through Apple Music, that was not purchased through iTunes, plays lossless fine over wifi and cellular and with all Atmos options enabled.
3) Since the 14.7 update I've noticed that only my purchased tracks from iTunes with a "release date" from the artist that was AFTER September 1, 2019 stop after 15 seconds when streaming lossless over wifi or cellular. All tracks I purchased from iTunes with a release date prior to September 1, 2019 play fine in lossless.
So, if an album/song was released by the artist to iTunes after September 1, 2019, I have the 15 second issue - even if I bought the album/song in say, January 2020. If the album/song was released by the artist to iTunes prior to September 1, 2019, I do not have the 15 second issue regardless of when I purchased the album/song.
4) Since the 14.7 update when these same tracks I purchased on iTunes after a "release date" of September 1, 2019 are played, I now get an error message when the track stops at 15 seconds that says, "Cannot Decode - The media data could not be decoded. It may be damaged." I did not get this message with 14.6.
5) Since the 14.7 update any track that I add to my library directly through Apple Music, that was not purchased through iTunes, still plays lossless fine over wifi and cellular and with all Atmos options enabled.
6) I am able to play all tracks if lossless is turned off
7) I am able to play ALL music over lossless with no issues over my MacBook Pro and AppleTV.
And while I do see a lot of posts that say 14.7 fixed the issue, it probably did if your main source of music was streaming/downloading strictly through Apple Music.
However, if you happened to buy your music through iTunes and recently moved to Apple Music in that last few weeks to past 10 months, I encourage you to play those tracks you purchased in that time frame, and have now since uploaded to Apple Music. I bet those tracks still stop after 15 seconds in lossless with 14.7.
Still some work to be done before this is fixed for everyone.
I went to settings then to music and turned off Dolby Atmos and Download in Dolby Atmos. I then opened the music app put all my songs in a playlist, un download all the songs and then re download them. So far I haven’t had any issues after doing that.
If the problem still occurs I recommend removing the song off downloads and then downloading it again I had the same issue but with some songs and I think you probably had the same issue too (for some songs) so whatever song stops at the 15 second mark it’s best to redownload the songs
I agree! It's a bug in their encoding of the files when you download. I removed all downloads and only stream, at home, over a wired connection and I'm not having the problem. But that's doesn't work for when I'm traveling, on a plane, etc.
There are bugs in the lossless product. They need to get fixed!
Download the songs in your device and it work no problem.
If you have old version songs , you must delete it and download again.
😂
you should try switching on mono audio, worked for me
