Sign out iCloud in your device, restart, sign in again to iCloud. Then open Apple Music, sign in and you are done.
That worked for me.
Someone posted yesterday that 14.7 will have the bug fix. It’s listed in the notes for 14.7. Hopefully it will be out soon.
Same here. Just updated, problem solved. This issue was not exactly what I’d expect from Apple given their usual focus on user experience but I’m glad it’s over now.
I experienced this issue also, only if I’m offline. It doesn’t happen for me when I’m connected to Internet. I tried re-downloading the songs having this issue and it seems to be fine afterwards.
The latest software update seems to fix this problem completely for me; the songs play fine without issues even offline.
the only thing that worked for me was turning off dolby atmos and download in dolby atmos, and then re-downloading any song i need to listen to offline
I had the same problem for a while and I just did the update for iOS 14.7.1 and after few bug for some minutes with the songs who used to stop now it’s working well like nothing happend
Have you updated to the latest iOS version?
its quite odd but i found out that it works occasionally when you plug a cable into the lightning port without the other end connected to anything. so essentially just plugging in without charging. songs play even with both atmos and lossless enabled. this works for iphones with a headphone jack, so the SE (1st gen) and 6s, 6s Plus
That’s the same for me. There is no issue if listing wired while being online. I only have an issue if Airplane mode is enabled. And then it’s only selected songs. It’s about every third song or some such. But once I find such a song, I can reliably reproduce the issue and it instantly goes away if I turn off Airplane mode.
Make sure your device is connected to an active internet connection. Lossless tracks need to be played with an active internet connection. I like Apple Music, but if they don't fix this ASAP, I might switch to Spotify. No joke, Apple!
Mine has been rock solid and I think one of the other posters is on to something. I have a collection that goes back to the 90s with mp3s and iTunes purchased etc. it occurred to me maybe it’s trying to figure out the DRM on these songs. I left the iTunes preference to sync library on. So I selected every song in my library on my computer and then chose - remove from library. The songs are still on my computer and then I deleted all songs off my phone. And resynched the phone. It worked but not perfect. Then iOS 14.7 and no problems at all.
so far!
Same here. I noticed if I restart my phone the problem goes away for a little while, but only for certain albums. Some of my music isn’t dolby atmos whatever, and still pauses. I turned off dolby though, and it seems to work for now, but we’ll see how long that lasts
I also thought that was the problem, but I isolated to only Apple Music and it persisted. I found streaming, rather than playing downloaded music, even though all Apple Music, almost eliminated the problem. Try experimenting with different playlists of just streaming and just downloaded.
Well.... for some reason, I turned on cellular downloads and all the options to download from cellular.... while on wifi, I started downloading lossless music (up to 24-bit/48kHz since my stereo in my car can only do that much anyway).... Now, it plays the songs past 15 seconds.
Not a fix... not saying it's a fix... but mine seems to be working now... hopefully it continues to.
This happens when you have too many Bluetooth devices listed in your phone
Delete 2 or 3 and reopen Apple Music
Hope this helps
