Sign out iCloud in your device, restart, sign in again to iCloud. Then open Apple Music, sign in and you are done.
That worked for me.
Have you turned off Lossless Audio as well and then re-downloaded all songs?
This. If you have enabled any of the new audio settings that were recently released it only makes sense to redownload your music in the new format settings.
It's something software related obviously... Because every day when i bike to school, i can listen perfectly with my wireless headphones, but on my way back (about 2-4 hours later) The songs start behaving this way...
It's a temporary fix, but in my case, it's with about 80% of my library, so signing out of Icloud and signing in again would help, but I'd have to reinstall al of my songs, which in my case takes an eternity (about 6000 songs). I just found out that if I listen through my wired headphones, the songs do play.
Weirdly enough, the songs do play over my wireless headphones after listening wired. (you'd have to do it for every song independently tho)
Hope this can be a temporary fix for y'all?

I’ve been frustrated by this too, bug only seems to come out to play away from WiFi and crashes :( CarPlay.
Used the chat to speak to Apple last night, was told 14.6.1 is on its way, which they hope will address this.
Disappointing it’s likely in a couple of weeks, so just a case of waiting for the fix.
Have been on the phone with Apple Support for 2 days. I’ve tried so many things I can remember them all. As of now, it seems like it’s working but I’m not convinced. In addition to things suggested here & on Reddit, their big work around was signing in/out of iCloud. But they did say engineers are aware & working on a fix🤷🏻♀️
Tried it came back. Do not bother. It seems related to wifi. Drove to work with frustrating bug. Soon as I was on wifi, no problem!
Turn on your internet..either cellular or WiFi…fixes it for me
If you then re-dowload all songs, it works, yes. At least for me it does and it has been working for over a week.

Been through a few hours of troubleshooting with Apple chat. Have the issue on three seperate devices (2 iphones, 1 iPad Pro). None of the steps suggested work (logging out and in of icloud, redownloading music, disabling atmos/lossless, reinstalling iOS from factory settings).
I am about to jump ship from apple to android, my S21 gives me less issues that the more recent software updates from Apple. Love apple stuff but this bug has been present for a few months now and still unable to use Apple music.
The problem mostly arises when actually offline in airplane mode. I rarely experience it when connected. Unfortunately my job keeps me offline many days. They have my issue with their level two tech support and he is reviewing my case and will respond via email so fingers crossed, its been a few days and they sent me a response stating they are still reviewing the issue.
I'm surprised there hasn't been any statement on the bug, it seems pretty widespread.
Indeed. It is an announced fix in 14.7. Can’t come soon enough. Apple really should have owned up to the issue though. They forwarded me to their high level get support who promised a solution via email in a few days. They never got back to me. Looks like they hole people just forgot about it until the update came out. Trying to save face I suppose. Just updated to iOS 14.7 and so far Apple Music with lossless is rock solid. I tried airplane mode and no problems at all. Tried moving ahead in songs- this used to crash it sometimes- no problems. Tried jumping around from song to song, no problems. Etc. It seems they've addressed the issues. Of course, like everyone, I wish there were never issues to address, and they would have gotten this out faster, but then again I have no idea all the things they are dealing with. So thank you to Apple for addressing it and now we can get on and enjoy the music.
I have just updated to 14.7. I don’ t download the songs. On the first attempt there was no difference. It stopped after 15 seconds. The next 4 - 5 songs played fine. Then I played again the song that failed. Now even that played fine. Maybe the first failure was cache related.

I discovered my songs were stopping after 15 seconds when lossless audio was selected. This happened about 5 days into my Apple Music trial. The fix that worked for me was cancelling Apple Music and going back to Spotify. I haven't had an issue since.
I have noticed that this error occurs whenever I don’t have an internet connection (either wifi or mobile) or once my data limit is up. this error occurs even for downloaded songs.
waiting for apple to fix it! started to think of changing to spotify.
