Even if i turn off dolby and reinstall my music it doesn't work...
this is pretty unacceptable of apple, people pay for this stuff...
idc about the spacial audio or losless audio, but if this problem isn't recognized any time soon, I might switch to spotify or deezer. Just want to listen to my songs offline
I have noticed that this error occurs whenever I don’t have an internet connection (either wifi or mobile) or once my data limit is up. this error occurs even for downloaded songs.
waiting for apple to fix it! started to think of changing to spotify.
I’m having the exact same issue. Thought it was my iPhone. If I’m listening to music on the tube with no connections but the music is downloaded, after 15 seconds the song cuts out and the music app bugs and I can’t get anything to play from that album. It’s driving me absolutely insane. I’ve turned atmos off, logged in and out of music (at the expense of having to download everything again) but nothing is working.
There must be some way of fixing this surely?
I have tried everything on this thread and none of it worked!
and today even on my cellular data it stopped working!!! What
It really started to ****** me off apple needs to work this issue otherwise I’m stopping my Subscription
I can't believe Apple hasn't sorted this issue out. It's incredibly frustrating when I'm trying to listen to a song and then it just randomly stops at 15 seconds.
Sort your **** out Apple, for Christ's sake! Typical Apple though, introducing a feature that barely works 👍👍
Signing in and out didn’t work for me. I went to settingS>Apple Music<Audio quality<and turned off lossless. I also turned off Dolby atoms. Then I turned off sync music. After that, I went to the bottom and signed out if my Apple Music, turned my phone off, and then signed back into my Apple Music. I did all of that and then tried to play my music offline and it didn’t stop. You have to redownload all of your music, but at least it won’t stop lol.
Hey so I didn’t get no error code but my music stopped at 15seconds. So I googled it and I ended up here, all the solutions here are bs. But in doing one of them I noticed that my iCloud was full so I thought maybe that’s why my music wasn’t playing even doe it was downloaded. So I deleted some albums I don’t listen too anymore and then I tired playing my songs that stopped after 15seconds (only new songs I downloaded wasn’t playing past 15) and they played.
So for those having the same issue try deleting some songs you don’t listen to anymore and see if that works. Hope this helps.
I’ve been experiencing this issue with random songs downloaded to my phone. I discovered that deleting the downloaded version of the song and re-downloading the song back to my phone resolves the issue. Downside is I have to do it for every single song I experience this problem.
Yeah I think it has to do with the special audio launch. At least most of the songs it has happened with are the spatial audio ones. Would rather not have special audio if this is the consequence. Always a glitch with Apple. It’s truly what I associate with them nowadays :( which sucks cuz have put so much time into my Apple library. Signing in and out of iCloud does nothing for me. Maybe worker for some, but I’m having same issue
If the problem still occurs I recommend removing the song off downloads and then downloading it again I had the same issue but with some songs and I think you probably had the same issue too (for some songs) so whatever song stops at the 15 second mark it’s best to redownload the songs
Same here. I noticed if I restart my phone the problem goes away for a little while, but only for certain albums. Some of my music isn’t dolby atmos whatever, and still pauses. I turned off dolby though, and it seems to work for now, but we’ll see how long that lasts
I found a fix for my phone. Go to settings > Music and under the downloads section, turn off “Download in Dolby Atmos”.
I could immediately play all of my downloaded music beyond the 15s mark without needing to sign out of iCloud or redownloading my music.
Hope it helps!
At least for me, this issue only happens when downloaded songs are played offline, which some doesn’t play past 15 seconds.
This solution worked for me:
(The following steps requires you to re-download your songs. For convenience, create a Shortcut that puts all songs currently in your music library into a playlist.)
First, try reinstalling the Apple Music app by removing it and restoring it from the App Store, and open it. You should be seeing that it is syncing your music library. After that, try downloading some of your songs and play it offline. It might fix the problem.
If this issue or a similar issue persists (which happened to me), don’t sign out and sign back in to Apple ID and iCloud; restoring your cloud data takes a long time and may cause more issues for you. Instead, go to Apple ID settings > Media & Purchases, and sign out and sign in from there. Your music library will re-sync. The issue should be fixed by now (at least for me).
I think it’s a local DRM authorization issue where the offline decryption key is missing or invalid and the first 15 seconds of the song is cached. That might explain why downloaded songs plays when connected to Internet. Doing this solution regenerates the key, making the songs play offline (at least that’s what I think).
Yep. This is very similar to my solution. The only difference is that I reinstalled the music app instead of turning off and on the library sync. Also, I didn’t need to touch the lossless and dolby atmos settings to get it to work.
You can create a Shortcut that takes all of your songs and puts it into a playlist. By the way, I use a smart playlist created on my laptop to do this. But sadly, you can’t create a smart playlist directly on the iOS version of Apple Music.
im having the exact same problem and its seeming like apple doesnt care how long people have been paying for the service , its october and im still having the same issue, found it in july and nothing is working.. im just gonna switch to spotify its the superior music platform anyway
