Sign out iCloud in your device, restart, sign in again to iCloud. Then open Apple Music, sign in and you are done.
That worked for me.
Mine is a little bit worse, it stops playing with everything (car, wireless and wired headphones, Bluetooth speakers) I hope Apple fixes it fast, since the launch of Atmos, lossless and spatial audio I’ve had issues but every day they’ve gotten worse, to the point of Apple Music becoming absolutely useless to me. In the meantime I started my free trial of YouTube Music lol.
Try Amazon Music HD. The HD is included in the standard subscription, the iPhone app allows you to cast to Airplay AND Echo speakers. And it even tells you what the file bitrate/resolution (ex. 16-bit/48kHz or 24-bit/96kHz) and the device resolution are as well as the whatever device you are casting to. It's fabulous, really. Yeah I know, you've got Apple Music and you are invested in Apple gear. I am just now trying the 3 month Apple Music trial and it isn't worth the switch. I chose Amazon music because the Echo devices are agnostic when it comes to the streaming services and because the curated playlists are more vast. For instance, I like to listen to smooth jazz, 70's disco, 40's classics, etc. Apple has one playlist for jazz and it's a mix of anything ever even classified as jazz - so it's useless. Also, I can ask for happy music, sad music, nighttime, or any other mood music and Amazon picks a reasonable playlist for me. As far as picking specific songs and making a playlist, either service does great.
Sure wish they would fix this Dolby issue.!
This is also happening to me. It seems to be particularly when I'm offline. Even downloaded songs aren’t playing which just doesn’t make sense. I left Spotify for this?! No thank you…Spatial Audio is great (on certain songs) but it defeats the purpose of it hinders basic functionality.
This made no difference to me. I download all music over WiFi as only really listen in the car or when out.
I find that songs stop at 15 seconds. General I can play one song in full then next stops at 15. Can’t skip forward of back
Same issue here.
12 pro streaming on iPhone, music cuts out at around the 12-15 second mark.
Airplaying to sonos arc also has same issue.
This is a very big issue it seems, Apple need to act swiftly because we are paying subscribers for this stuff.
I believe that this bug has nothing to do with the Bluetooth. I didn’t download the music and play it on the phone’s speaker. It still stops after exactly 15 seconds. Nothing mentioned on this thread works for me.
Update??? Think you are confusing apple products for android. Apple Associates will tell you this is an intended feature.
for the record I have this exact issue. And seems very random. None of the solutions on here worked. I even deleted all the Bluetooth devices apart from Apple Watch. And headphones. Still same issue.
I really hate it when a company starts making these kind of statements. I as you have found this bug comes and goes. I have logged in and out of iCloud which was a real pain because it affects other things like song downloads, Apple Pay (found that out while trying to make a purchase at the store). If the song keeps stoping at 15 seconds that should be easy to solve since it is consistent. Maybe Apple should us some of its talent to look at the code and fix the darn problem. Giving us a gift that does not work is very upsetting.
Has this issue really got anything to do with mobile data?
I get the issue on my iPad pro 11" over wifi, not got cellular data on iPad. It also doesn't always happen nor at the 15 sec mark, yesterday it happened not as much, but at around 35 sec mark.
Except this is not cool. After you sign out and sign back in Apple has to re-download all the songs. For someone who travels a lot and doesn’t always have access to WiFi this is a big problem. This is exactly what people were talking about with apple monopolizing all their content. You pay for a product, you “download it”, and somehow that download doesn’t play. Then your only option is to inconvenience yourself. Oh yeah, initially I thought this was an old phone issue, so I bought a new iPhone last week…still an issue.
Thanks for the update but I think I will wait for an official fix. I have been trying many of the things on this forum and am really upset with Apple (I have better words but will refrain). As I said before this is a big black eye and I am investigating Spotify for my renewal.
Hi everyone,
thanks for everyone trying to find a solution.
i have the problem on my iPhone, CarPlay Crash and on Apple TV.
Even with reconnecting my account, disabling Atmos or usb câble through car, problem is still there.
we have then to be patient… this is clearly a complete bug.
i hope a solution will solve this quickly.
I agree with your idea about the problem and the DRM issue.
Whatever, even online I am still facing the problem.
I have already tried all the solutions you indicated, and unfortunately, a few days after, issue is coming back.
I have simply erased my local files yet. We'll see if Apple creates a correction.
If not. May redirect my choice, even after a long time of full and happy life with Apple Services.
Unfortunately the problems have returned for me- it happens no matter whether on line, streaming, downloaded, blue tooth, car play, using the iPhone speaker. iPhone 12Pro Max. Its a shame because the sound quality is wonderful when its working. Hopefully they will get this resolved quickly.
leave then? No one cares what service you pay for nor do they care what you will move to. Talk about an over reaction, this is clearly something which will get fixed as a patch why do people always throw their toys out of the pram. Talk about first world problems.
