Can't upload songs to library for iTunes matching

I can't upload any songs to my library for matching at Itunes match.

Uploading song has status - trying to match at Itunes Store.

And this status isn't changing at all.

Changing accounts, using other wifi networks - nothing helps.

The Problem began at Thursday. Before that day everything was OK.

Oh - and there is NO problem with downloading already matched songs.

So before the call with adviser I did some digging in macos. Music app logs: "log show --predicate 'processImagePath CONTAINS[c] "Music"' --last 2m" in command line. App connects and in few seconds connection get reset by remote server. Same picture in Wireshark - remote server sends RST or FIN packets short after session start.

I told all that to adviser, thats why he asked me to delete VPN profile, I think. He said it gets messed up on OS updates or something similar. Btw, I tested it again. Installed VPN.mobileconfig profile, connected VPN, added an album - no dice. Disconnected VPN - no dice. Removed profile - no dice (!). Restarted macbook - instant match all songs. So its def networking something.

Having the same issue. Usually, I can get it resolved with a few tricks.

Added 4 albums. 6/10, 2/13, 1/10, and 8/14 songs uploaded from each. I tried removing songs from library, re-adding from downloads folder...same result. Running latest iTunes. Signed out, signed in. Turned off/on sync library on iphone. Restarted iTunes. Restarted Computer. File > Library > Update Cloud Library results in a forever spinning icon, "Matching your music...". When will iTunes work??? It's been a zillion years. I see I have a Windows update, will try that now. (2021-07 Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057))

Positive news

I’ve just finished a call with a second level Apple Support engineer.

The good news:

  • the engineer understands the problem (he was thorough and asked intelligent questions)
  • he gathered appropriate data and screenshots so that he could forward them
  • he promised me a response by Tuesday (10 August)
  • he assured me that he would ‘own’ the problem until it is fixed.

I asked him to attach this Community conversation to the escalation so that the number of people affected can be seen (and also because each of us has had a slightly different experience).

I believe that this is good news. The response was very different from that which I had had previously (all the usual client-side reinstallations and updates). A named support engineer has now accepted ownership of my (and, I think, your) problem until it is fixed.

I will post again as soon as I get the promised update.

Yes, things are improving. It took a little over an hour to match a new album I added (of which 11 tracks were matched and 2 were uploaded). So, not as fast as it used to be before this whole fiasco began, but MUCH faster than it's been the last couple weeks. So there is progress being made somewhere at Apple. Looking forward to this getting back to its original speed when I can then start repairing all the damage to my Library that occurred after I unsynced and resynced it (back when I was assuming this problem was related to my Library). I'm still a bit scared to dive into that whole process just yet...

Mine wasn't working this morning and I was very discouraged seeing all your happy results. But then, like a miracle, it was on again. I deleted one CD that stayed stuck and then downloaded it again and now it's there. It wasn't our emails to the CEO and VP of Apple because those emails bounced back but finally someone in their tech department got busy. Well done Apple Community.

LoveChilling, I’ve matched about 11 albums today without a hitch, on a Mac (High Sierra). Sorry to say it, but I really want this to be an issue local only to you… do all the usual stuff - reboot, think what might have changed since you last matched successfully… who knows, you might be the first and this will hit us all in due course, but hopefully it’s just a temporary glitch. Fingers crossed.
