Can't upload songs to library for iTunes matching

I can't upload any songs to my library for matching at Itunes match.

Uploading song has status - trying to match at Itunes Store.

And this status isn't changing at all.

Changing accounts, using other wifi networks - nothing helps.

The Problem began at Thursday. Before that day everything was OK.

Oh - and there is NO problem with downloading already matched songs.

So before the call with adviser I did some digging in macos. Music app logs: "log show --predicate 'processImagePath CONTAINS[c] "Music"' --last 2m" in command line. App connects and in few seconds connection get reset by remote server. Same picture in Wireshark - remote server sends RST or FIN packets short after session start.

I told all that to adviser, thats why he asked me to delete VPN profile, I think. He said it gets messed up on OS updates or something similar. Btw, I tested it again. Installed VPN.mobileconfig profile, connected VPN, added an album - no dice. Disconnected VPN - no dice. Removed profile - no dice (!). Restarted macbook - instant match all songs. So its def networking something.

Reiterating same issue here that started at the same time as noted. It would be good to get some sort of confirmation that this is being escalated within Apple. I got nervous with the words "Matching your music with songs in the iTunes Store" in the Activity window, because I have a LOT of music in my Library that isn't available in the iTunes Store, including a recently released import CD I had just imported into iTunes (that isn't available for playback in iTunes thru iCloud because of this issue). And contributing to that nervousness is the fact that I can see the album and song titles on my mobile device, but they are grayed-out (for the import CD that isn't available in Apple Music / the iTunes store) and therefore aren't playable.

I doubt Apple will investigate this as they seem more focussed on the streaming services rather than anything involving the ‘old-fashioned’ way of downloading/uploading songs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is used as an excuse to support the discontinuation of the iTunes Match service due to continual issues with it!! I hope to God I’m wrong but these big tech companies find it easier to remove the service rather than repair it!!!

I queued up 6 songs this morning. 6. It has been an house since that started. No progress.

One thing I learned sometimes about customer support is often their bosses see them as doing their job when people don't complain and get off the line quickly. :)

As far as "issues in the cloud often take a while to fully recover," acknowledging the issue is the first step. There's a problem somewhere in Apple land as they've had store issues, app store issues... everywhere's reporting an issue.. but iTunes Match. Even this forum was down yesterday.

So something is happening over there like an attack of some kind... no idea.... but this is odd that this is still jammed up.

It seems to be more or less working for me now. Not sure if Apple engineers have been working on the problem. It took three days to rebuild my cloud music library and it finished yesterday, and last night I added a few new albums of my own music and it synced normally from what I could tell and did it in a normal amount of time. Has the problem gotten better for anyone else?

Same problem here (NC, USA). I've been trying to get approximately 100 ALAC tracks to match or upload for the last three days. Thus far I've had about a dozen actually complete. What is most maddening is that all the tracks show on my other synced devices, but the unfinished tracks are all greyed out and unable to be played. Thus, I can't even seamlessly listen to the few tracks that have completed, as the others stop the playback process. How can this have been going on for weeks (based on this thread) without any formal statement or plan of action from Apple?

Adding to the wave of discontent. I subscribed to Match 3 days ago (wished I'd seen this string) - of my 8,000 songs 600 have matched and 650 have uploaded (many of which are surprise as they're not "unusual" songs). Like everyone else, I've done the whole restart, reboot etc. to no avail. I have Smart Playlists setup to monitor progress and there's been no changes in the last couple of hours. I'm in USA, Northern CA.
