CAR Play Issues after IOS15 Update Cannot Load SiriusXM Or Amazon Music

I’m still having issues with Amazon music after 15.0.2. I still a black screen in the app in my phone. Some of my stations only play one song now as well. App is up to date. I found I have to start playing music before connecting my phone to the usb connection. It doesn’t always work though.

I'm confused, are you using carplay? If so are you getting screen mirroring but just no audio? The connection issues in IOS were solved in 15.1, The only persistent issue is the Waze ap taking over audio and not letting you adjust volume. If that is the case remove Waze if you have it and then see if it works.

Month later after updates still having issues with in app SiriusXM app functions working properly like not all the channels being available for selection, only the first 12 channels being available for each category. I’ve found that opening the app before plugging into CarPlay has had some positive results. Still glitchy and not 100%. Definitely not satisfied with Applecar play. Does not it live up to expectations. Mirror function of the phone

The changes that they “added” in ios15 to CP are ….trivial…..yet they managed to break at least 2 MAJOR APPS…..UNBELIEVABLE ! I am hearing IHeart radio is borked as well………..

I have the iPhone XS Max as well, with iOS15, and is not working. I don’t think that this issue is iPhone or CarPlay device dependent. In most likelihood, this is an iOS15 issue as stated before.

SiriusXM needs to be notified as they may need to make an update to their app.

I think unfortunately it's 15.0.1 that is out, not 15.1 which will ultimately resolve this issue.

iOS 15.1 was released, this week. iHeartRadio, also, released an app update. Between the two, it looks like my CarPlay problems with the app have, finally, been resolved.

Maybe try connecting via bluetooth then.

I have the same issue, 2020 Lincoln Nautilus. I informed SiriusXM tech support, that was a joke. Will have to wait for an update to the app and if that doesn’t fix it I’ll have to go to Lincoln for an update to Sync3.

i had the same issue w iphone13/ ios15. (Ironically not with iphoneX with ios15) where the Apple Music App will disconnect CarPlay as soon as you press play . Do this: IPhone Setting- Music- EQ- off (or select none). <—- this worked for me. However I’m still having issues with Sirius XM and other music app simply won’t load up, but otherwise will do so on the iPhone itself. I have a 2015 Audi and a 2018 Hyundai= same problem.

In a BMW loaner today with the latest operating system 2022 model with CarPlay and same exact problem as my 2020 X5 so it is absolutely NOT the cars head unit. I still suspect a bug in IOS 15.

on a different note I love the duel screen interface with Apple Maps having directions in the instrument pod and head up display.

I am having the same experience using 2021 Mazda 3 OEM radio, I don’t believe it’s the radio as CarPlay is intended to emulate the phone. Is it possible that CarPlay is having issues with compatibility with these apps, SiriusXM and Amazon music because all other apps work as prior to Apple updated ios15

Same problem with Mazda CX-5 2019 using Deezer Tunein etc. In CarPlay the app can’t connect to the network. Have latest app versions etc, only stopped working after iOS 15 update yesterday. Apps are working fine on the phone itself.

Just to throw my hat in .. Same issue on a 2021 Audi A4 with an iPhone 13 Pro. As the solution seems to be dependent on Apple issuing an update I guess I just need to be patient. Glad I found this thread and know it's not just me.
