CAR Play Issues after IOS15 Update Cannot Load SiriusXM Or Amazon Music

I have read the previous threads and after spending countless hours on my phone and with Apple and Amazon reps reconfiguring my iphone 12 a thousand times over, I fear that downloading 15.1 as a test drive will do more damage to my phone apps than it already has. I would prefer that Apple legitimately come out to the public with a fix for this mess via 15.1. We shouldn't have to circumvent.

Same issue here , 13 pro and when try to use any music app on CarPlay its crashes CarPlay and have to start. mk8 golf gti in the UK. Best I can tell its all music apps that cause it.

Had no issues with 15 on previous phone.

I just updated to 15.1 and did not resolve Amazon or Sirius issue. Anyone else? What the heck??? I continue to get the same message "unable to connect to Amazon music"; "unable to connect to Sirius"

My issue doesn't pertain to apps specifically. I am unable to listen to XM radio or even FM radio on my stereo while my phone is plugged into the CarPlay USB port. As soon as I try to switch over to any audio source it switches right back to CarPlay/iphone. Even then i cannot control Spotify through my car's touchscreen. The only workaround is I use my phone to play songs through Spotify. This all started with ios15 so it's not only an app issue, but a CarPlay functionality issue.

Please keep us informed on your progress, I'm ready to install the FIRST public BETA that even mentions a fix for CarPlay. So dang frustrated! And naturally this happens the day AFTER I cancelled XM on my car (still have on my wife's) because I could just stream it (facepalm).

It should be fixed on the next public release (whenever that is). As many here have tried to say delicately, there is a way to fix it NOW. But if I say anything about the #2 letter in the greek alphabet, I may get punished.

Can anyone confirm if the new 15.0.2 update has fixed this problem?

I updated my phone to 15.0.2 and, sadly, no luck. The CarPlay interface for iHeartRadio is still broken (sounds like some to the other problematic apps have been fixed by the update). At this point, I don't know if it's an Apple problem or an iHeartRadio problem, but it'd be nice if someone would fix this.

Updated yesterday. Still doesn’t go back to music when listening to Sirius then send a text. Just goes back to dead air. So annoying! Have to press the “radio” button then go back to CarPlay. This stinks.

I can use the app from my phone (which completely defeats the purpose of having it on CarPlay). The interface through the vehicle touchscreen is completely blank. Everything worked fine prior to they iOS 15 update.

Same problem on a 2021 Honda Accord

Same exact issue with SiriusXM and Music on 2020 BMW. Worked perfect before 15 update.

I have the same issue. Iheart radio also doesn't work. 2019 Mercedes CLS450

Same. 2012 Tahoe with a newer Sony unit. Also, the forward control on my steering wheel now pauses instead of forward. I want to go back to IOS14. This sucks.

Same problem with 2020 Honda Ridgeline. SiriusXM and iHeart not accessible. Maybe time to switch to Android. Ios 15 is NOT an upgrade!!!
