Fn + F4, F5, or F6 not working on M1 Macbook Air

When the "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as the standard function keys" keyboard setting is used, Spotlight (F4), Dictation (F5), or Do Not Disturb (F6) no longer work. When this keyboard option is not used the keys work as expected.

This is clearly a bug that's been around for quite some time and has yet to be fixed. See all the previous issues with the exact same issue.

If this bug has already been filed in your ticketing system would it be possible to let people know via this thread? Rather than continuing to ask users to "create a new user", "restart your machine", and then going silent?

I have the exact same problem with my MacBook Air M1. If I enable the "Use F1, F2, etc. as the standard function keys". fn+F4/5/6 don't work, fn+any other function key works as expected. I updated my system from Big Sur 11.6 to Big Sur 11.6.1, then to Monterey 12.0.1, none of it fixes the issue. Entering safe mode does not fix the issue.

I have also seen people with the M1 iMac with the same issue.
