iPhone 13 keeps disconnecting from car bluetooth

Hello,

I have issue with my iPhone 13 mini and iOS 15. Bluetooth works very well - basically Spotify through the bluetooth works without any issues.

However calling via bluetooth is really issue for me. I used my bluetooth in my car and also my handsfree device. Unfortunately the situation is the same - if I want to call via bluetooth then the phone call is cancelled after few minutes (sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 6 minutes).

Could you please fix this?

Thanks

Martin

Try to apply this: Go to the settings --> find bluetooth --> headset --> accessibility --> touch --> call audio routing and change it from automatic to bluetooth headset. That helped to me.

This is EXACTLY what is happening to me right now in my Highlander, and has only started the last two days since my phone updated to the latest iOS. I have never had it happen once and have had the 12 ProMax for a year. It has to be something with the update and not the actual phones, but it is definitely frustrating to have it automatically update and then lose functionality instead of gaining it. Apple needs to do better. Wondering if I can uninstall the update and get my bluetooth back! I was Samsung before for years and my groups at work wanted me back to iPhone. But I won't do it again.

I have this exact problem with my car audio completely dropping out while on a call. In addition, if I'm using my apple airpods, the call won't drop but will sounds like its an old rotary phone being dialed and cut out a lot. This happens for both sides of the call. The only solution is to switch to the phone for the call, wait for about 45 seconds then i can go back to the airpods. The problem will never happen again while on that call. Iphone 13 pro, IOS 15.1.1. Have forgot devices, rebooted, turned off bluetooth, wiped phone. Nothing has fixed this.

At this point there is no work around or solution. I’ve given up, disconnect my iPhone from my tundra. I got tired of dropping calls, entune shutting off rebooting, entune locking up, not being able to make calls. I’m back to no connectivity and just using the speaker on iPhone. Yep, Apple 15.1,15.2 has render my Bluetooth worthless.

my hope Apple fixes the issue with a new update. If not I will have to jump ship and find another phone. I don’t want to do this, I’m a loyal Apple user.

the problem seems to be with CarPlay function. Turn off CarPlay phone work but music quits. Try to turn CarPlay back on and whole phone and vehicle radio quit. Had to stop cut it off. Delete everything and then reinstall. Now I am back to square 1 phone hangs up after 2 minutes. I guess getting another phone other than Apple product will fix it because looks like Apple want even act like it is their issue

I have 2 phones (Iphone 13, and 7+), and 2 vehicles. Both phones are running the same IOS (15.2.1). The 7+ works well in both vehicles; the 13 has the same issues described throughout this thread. I tested in vehicle #2 today; same problem.

I can't believe the entire product line is defective. I'm thinking maybe a bad batch of chips, or something along that line? I really like the new phone; hoping Apple can fix the issue. I have a support call scheduled for tomorrow; will see what they recommend.

I dont understand why people keeps blaming Toyota info systems. You had BT working before iOS 15 came out right, and everyone agrees that to be the problem. Stop changing phones iPhones or paying money to have your Toyota infotainments changed by a unscrupulous dealer that wants your money. WE ALL KNOW THE PROBLEM IS iOS 15 and the following versions. PERIOD!!

KevinPaul the IOS 15.3 upgrade seems to be working. I made several calls during one driving session and received a call, all hands-free. I did notice my phone disconnected from the car after 2 of the calls but it was easy to reconnect.

Apple please correct that next ~ we can’t have our Bluetooth disconnect after a call. I was in a parking lot so it was easy to reconnect…not so much if I’m driving.

To add to the "disconnecting from Bluetooth after the call" issue. I've done some additional testing today. It happens consistently in both of my vehicles....but only seems to happen when the other person ends the call first. If I hang up first - no Bluetooth disconnect. If Apple developers are monitoring this forum - maybe this will help you to pin down this issue. I'm curious if others are seeing the same.

I have this problem with my iPhone 13 pro max when paired to my 2015 Toyota Camry XSE. The call will disconnect from the vehicle, then reconnect every few minutes. Sometimes the call flat out drops. Switching to handset mode does not help. This happens every time without fail so my phone is unusable in the car, it's so frustrating!

I am updating my iPhone 13 Pro Max from 15.2.1 to 15.3.1 as we speak and will report back. Hopefully updating to 15.3.1 fixes the issue!
