iPhone 13 keeps disconnecting from car bluetooth

Hello,

I have issue with my iPhone 13 mini and iOS 15. Bluetooth works very well - basically Spotify through the bluetooth works without any issues.

However calling via bluetooth is really issue for me. I used my bluetooth in my car and also my handsfree device. Unfortunately the situation is the same - if I want to call via bluetooth then the phone call is cancelled after few minutes (sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 6 minutes).

Could you please fix this?

Thanks

Martin

I just bought a new iPhone 13 pro max and the Bluetooth feature is super frustrating. It connects to my Toyota Highlander but will hang up on people at random intervals as I’m talking with them. Spotify will work and then cut out as well. I have researched this issue and tried all of the recommended ways to deal with this problem but none have worked. Can you help?

Yes this is getting ridiculous iPhone 12 updated to 15.2 last night thinking the issue would resolve for my Tacoma and no luck. 5-6 mins into a call it drops the call and than my audio system gets stuck on whoever I last spoke to and won't disconnect leaving my phone and system frozen. I have found in order to to regain access to my audio system & cell phone I must disconnect my blue tooth and than the cycle repeats very frustrating and dangerous. This software glitch needs to be fixed promptly before this causes someone to be in a accident.

I have a 2018 Toyota Tundra, and have been having the exact same issue since I updated to ios15. Music would play perfectly over Bluetooth but it would drop my call after about a minute. I downloaded the Toyota entune app, registered my truck and it said there was a mandatory update available for my vehicle. Once it updated my vehicle firmware, problem gone. Hope this helps someone else, this has been driving me nuts over the last couple months.

I have a iPhone 13 and it will not connect to more than one car and I have 2 cars that I would like to use bluetooth in. I never had this problem with My iPhone 10! Also, it will not connect my ecoboost speaker or my megaboom speaker. So crazy that they have messed this up.

Another big issue is my reminder don't remind me!!! It's their only job and Reminders can't seem to make it happen. I really dislike my iPhone 13. I don't use my phone for much so the few things I have been accustomed to in prior IPhones would be great if they could work. Seems so silly to take away such great features and not say a word about either of them. Can't find anything on line? Went to ATT store today and they told me that my phone needs to be updated and it would fix everything. I just looked at 3 paid employees doing nothing and said if you believe that then I have some ocean front property in Arizona!

I have the 2nd gen airpods. I called support today and luckily it happened 3 times while on when them. Each time was almost 40 seconds long so it was perfect. During this call I didn’t have a case on so no interference. Support had me do a reset all so we will see what that does. They also had me turn off my Apple Watch in case it is causing the conflict. I’ll respond back on my progress. If this does work, they are going to ship me a new phone. Do you guys all have apple watches?

Ok, for now - the reset all settings didn't fix it. It did give me options on other things that must not have been on my previous phone so at least it wasn't for nothing. Now, as for the 2nd part support wanted me to try was the Apple watch being turned off. I have recreated the problem twice with the watch on and I have a bluetooth connection issue to my airpods or car after around 6-10 minutes on a call. With the watch turned off, i've been unable to recreate the problem. I have no idea what the watch could have to do with it but might be some bluetooth interference coming from the watch. This didn't happen with my iphone xr

Well, the new IOS update didn't help me either. I had 1 successful call, the 1st one after the update (and not to forget paying the dealer $75 to upgrade my head unit in my 2017 Tundra)....subsequent calls after were dropped by Bluetooth. In fact, the last call that dropped, while I was driving, shut down my entire stereo system and it rebooted itself...just like if I had started the ignition and it went through it's start up process. I want this fixed and I want to be reimbursed by Apple for the $75 I spent to have my Toyota computer upgraded (I never had any issues until I switched from my iPhone 8+ to the 13 Pro). This is all on Apple's shoulders!

My solution was as follows: Shut Down iPhone 12 Pro MAX. Remove SIM. Put SIM into Pixel 3. Launch Pixel 3. Phone conects to bluetooth perfectly. I will use my old crusty google phone until apple decides to fix its OS. Honestly, this is shameful, Apple. I have even worked for you. Your quality standards have seriously dropped over time. It's sad that your ecosystem is not sharable with other phones. I use my iPhone for work, and it seriously hinders what I can do when it's failing to connect to peripherals that it once did in the last iOS. Please remember this Apple: Not everyone has the luxury of waiting for you to fix your problems, nor have we the patience to endure your "features." Sometimes our clients and bosses need solutions and we must deliver without an excuse of, "oH, srY my iPhOn3 is wOnKy Today." fugghedaboudit.
