iPhone 13 keeps disconnecting from car bluetooth

Hello,

I have issue with my iPhone 13 mini and iOS 15. Bluetooth works very well - basically Spotify through the bluetooth works without any issues.

However calling via bluetooth is really issue for me. I used my bluetooth in my car and also my handsfree device. Unfortunately the situation is the same - if I want to call via bluetooth then the phone call is cancelled after few minutes (sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 6 minutes).

Could you please fix this?

Thanks

Martin

Try to apply this: Go to the settings --> find bluetooth --> headset --> accessibility --> touch --> call audio routing and change it from automatic to bluetooth headset. That helped to me.

I have this problem with my iPhone 13 pro max when paired to my 2015 Toyota Camry XSE. The call will disconnect from the vehicle, then reconnect every few minutes. Sometimes the call flat out drops. Switching to handset mode does not help. This happens every time without fail so my phone is unusable in the car, it's so frustrating!

I am updating my iPhone 13 Pro Max from 15.2.1 to 15.3.1 as we speak and will report back. Hopefully updating to 15.3.1 fixes the issue!

Exact same issue with audi MMI. randomly droping bt connection, i have to manually disconnect bt and reconnect when im driving then works fine. But if i wanna cancel call on phone is canceled but on mmi system still shows connected. Then bt connection drops again with iphone XS was no problems.i13 is upgraded on 15.3.1 ios.

I have also disconnected my watch and other nearby bluetooth connection leaving only the car bluetooth connected.

I'm having the same BT issues, and yes I have updates to iOS15.3.1, cleared networks setting, deleted connections on both the car and phone..... and I still have the **** problem! Maybe the is Apple new "do not disturb me when I'm driving feature"... The big porblem is when "we" all try to fix this problem while driving. I find it interesting that you and delete connections on both the car and phone and even establish/set a new BT password to connect all while driving. Does everyone else here find that interesting?

I understand software development, and to that point I just wish Apple would recognize this as a BUG. Apple Support could you please respone to the specific issue of BT dropping out - - PLEASE.

Woo hoo! I just fixed my issue with the car.

A YouTube video suggested it might be the car (Mazda). I opened the hood and disconnected the negative battery cable for a few seconds and then put it back on. That rebooted the radio and suddenly it connected. I thought someone said to put on airplane mode when trying and that worked!

@Moose_OSU I thought the same thing. I was having this issue with both of my vehicles; a 2018 Tacoma, and a 2012 BMW. Updating the phone to 15.3.1 seems to have resolved it, so I thought life was good again. But took the bmw on a trip last weekend; no luck with bluetooth. Had to resort to talking on the device.

I wonder if 15.3.1 update targeted Toyota systems? Will be interested to hear if other Toyota owners are seeing the same thing. Of course according to Apple, apparently there is no problem. I have yet to find an Apple support rep to acknowledge that others are having this issue.

My wife and I both have iPhone13 minis. Both were OK until the last software update. Now we both have the same issues on both our cars (BMW and Audi).

The phone connects to the car, but after one call drops the connection as far as the car is concened, Often this happens with the call is still showing as connected (even though it thinks the device isn't), whilst on the phone it says it has dropped the call but thinks the phone it is still conencted to the car. I have tried the "forget and repair" on both phones and both cars. As it is now illegal in the UK to handle the phone whilst driving, the phones are pretty much uselesss to us in the car.

We have paid a lot of money for two phones that are only "mobile" whilst walking.

My experience, fwiw. I have a BMW, and a Tacoma. As soon as I bought the new iPhone 13, I experienced the same issues as everybody here. I called Apple support; they have (amazingly) never heard of this issue. Since then (in the past month or so) the issues are gradually starting to resolve. The latest 15.3 update fixed in the Taco, but not the BMW. Then 15.4 fixed the BMW. I was afraid it would rebreak the Tacoma, but so far so good.

My biggest complaint with Apple is they refuse to acknowledge the issue (so much for transparency), but instead secretly roll out fixes in the background. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled it's fixed. But who's to say it won't happen again, and they will (again) refuse to admit there's a problem. I love the product - but extremely disappointed with the support.
