AppleTV app not working on Firestick

Same problem of you guys. I made a lot of test before understand that the problem wasn’t the Apple TV + but the FireTV stick software.

Please try to go on settings, my fire TV, information and download the last software Fire OS 5.2.8.4

After 10 minutes my Apple TV return back to work as usual.

I have been having the same problem. It works on one Firestick but not the other. On the Firestick that it did not work on, i went in to settings to check software and it is up to date. Digging around in settings i found an option to restart Firestick so i clicked it, it power cycled and once it powered back up, it was working for me. May not help everyone but it may help someone.

Had the same problem.

I am on Fire TV Stick (2020).

Software is up to date (Fire OS 7.2.4.2). Reinstalling Apple TV app did not help.

Only a full factory reset and installing fresh helped. It is now working again.

I had to go into my settings and restart my firestick and it worked for me. Sometimes with these things you have to make sure you're doing the "fixes" in a certain order. Try going into Settings> My Fire TV,>About, >Check for update, click. Then go back one menu to >Restart and click. Also, to watch something on Apple TV on my Firestick, I had to go Apple TV on my computer, start a show or movie I want to watch, and then go to the firestick and am able to play it. I confirm, FireOS 5.2.8.4 solves the problem.

I was confused a bit as the Fire stick checked for updates yesterday and I assumed it was on the newest OS version. But it wasn’t, only flipped when I turned it on today.

what worked for me was a reboot of fire tv cube itself had to do this a few times but eventually it worked

well now mine seems to work now after several reboots on fire tv cube

I might have a solution for the Apple TV not working on your fire stick. After looking in to it, there seems to be a system update that should fix the problem.

I'm having the same issue. Have tried logging in with 3 different Apple IDs and all have the same issue. I'm using a Firestick TV and Apple TV+ was working fine up until yesterday. I have checked and have a paid subscription. Now I'm wondering what I'm paying for.

We’ve had no issues using the Apple TV app on Fire TV (not stick) for months. Today content is blocked and the error message says in app purchases aren’t permitted on this device - to watch here we must subscribe from an apple device. We’ve cleared cache etc. Any other advice?

I have tried all the listed items including clearing data and cache, resetting the firestick and uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Still receiving the following:

Tried that multiple times and no fix. Works great on Xbox. But doing it to all 3 of my fire sticks and my parent’s fire stick in different house and WiFi

Same issue. Worked fine in August. Was away most of September. tried to watch this week, and nothing I try makes it work.

Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Updated firestick. tried starting show on ipad, pausing, and then continuing on TV - Nope.

Nothing works. my internet is fine.
