AppleTV app not working on Firestick

We are fairly new to the AppleTV app but have had the Firestick for awhile. We pay for the Apple TV subscription but are not able to watch anything on the AppleTV. We keep getting the message “to watch here, you must have purchased or rented the movie or episode on an Apple device”. I thought that was the point of the subscription. Also, Firestick is using latest update.

I’m getting same issue. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Signing out and in. I checked software update for fire stick but says up to date. Anyone get a resolution. Just noticed it last week.

Same issue for me. Getting “Video Not Available” Fire stick OS version is latest. I used to be able to view it. Reinstalled apple tv and still the same. I hope they fix it else one less streaming option for the holidays.

Im also having this issue, but add in the Apple icon that is permanent stuck on the screen and then my entire firestick crashes. I’ve tried all the fixes and tips and updates etc and nothing seems to be working

I'm having the same issue. The Apple tv app will work on apple devices but, not on firestick. I was on the phone with Apple support and even though I'm on current software on both the app and the device (fire stick) it will not work. I wish apple could resolve this. I will have to cancel the subscription if it doesn't get resolved.

I have confirmed I am on the latest version of software for the firestick. Is this what you referring to or something else?

I have latest update, restarted Firestick, nothing wrong with my internet. Same issue.

Wanted to watch on my TV not iPAD 😡

Same here. The Firestick on the latest version but it shows the Video Not Available pop up. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few seconds of playback.

I’m confused, I’m on 6.2.7.6 and am still having the issue….. other apps work just fine.

Yes, how do you force an update when it says Your Fire TV is up to date? Been having problems watching Apple TV for a month now. Never had issues before that.

I have tried everything and can get the update to push…….anyone have any ideas?

I'm having this issue as well. And, I have the latest software version of Firestick. And, I've tried all the listed items to fix the problem. I can't watch what I'm paying for. Please help.

well i've got the correct software version. tried to sign in and the good old pin wheel of death has been there for the last 10 mins.
