AppleTV app not working on Firestick

I have always used the AppleTV app on my Firestick without any issues. All of a sudden for the past few days I always get an error message saying “Video Not Available” when I try to stream. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling already, but that did not work.

I'm having the same issue. Have tried logging in with 3 different Apple IDs and all have the same issue. I'm using a Firestick TV and Apple TV+ was working fine up until yesterday. I have checked and have a paid subscription. Now I'm wondering what I'm paying for.

You need update the Fire TV at the latest software version. Different fire TV having different OS. Go to setting, my fire tv, information, and looking for new software update. Please let me know.

I have been having the same problem. It works on one Firestick but not the other. On the Firestick that it did not work on, i went in to settings to check software and it is up to date. Digging around in settings i found an option to restart Firestick so i clicked it, it power cycled and once it powered back up, it was working for me. May not help everyone but it may help someone.

We are fairly new to the AppleTV app but have had the Firestick for awhile. We pay for the Apple TV subscription but are not able to watch anything on the AppleTV. We keep getting the message “to watch here, you must have purchased or rented the movie or episode on an Apple device”. I thought that was the point of the subscription. Also, Firestick is using latest update.

I had to go into my settings and restart my firestick and it worked for me. Sometimes with these things you have to make sure you're doing the "fixes" in a certain order. Try going into Settings> My Fire TV,>About, >Check for update, click. Then go back one menu to >Restart and click. Also, to watch something on Apple TV on my Firestick, I had to go Apple TV on my computer, start a show or movie I want to watch, and then go to the firestick and am able to play it. Hope this helps!
