Music player and locked screen - iOS15

is anybody else having the music player showing up on lock screen when a Bluetooth device is connected.

You need to disconnect the Bluetooth device.

If you have the music player on your lock screen like this:

Then tap the AirPlay icon, and turn AirPlay -> Off.

Check If the AirPods connected, if so you will get the music player.

Disconnect the AirPods.

Turn Off the Lock Screen and Notification Center ALERTS from Settings-Notifications-Apple Music

Wait... I can delete the Music app?? AND the problem goes away??

Just delete Music and use Spotify instead. Or do it at least until they decide to fix it.

Apple are ******** always changing things that don’t need to like (Siri and having to say a full sentence to turn flashlight on hands free instead of just “flashlight”), I had forgotten they turn blutooth on for updates and there it was on and trying to connect to everything when I looked and the music was gone upon doing said steps.

This occurs without a music app being opened, and with confirmation that a Bluetooth device has not been connected in several hours. This also occurs after it has not been displayed on Lock Screen, and without a music app being opened, it suddenly appears. The only resolution is a hard restart.

I have been having this issue since I updated my Apple iPhone 12 Mini to iOS 15.4. I even waited until the update was readily available to install instead of using the public beta to try to avoid as many bugs as possible. It does appear to be a bug in the update as simple troubleshooting suggestions have fixed it twice now for me. I have spoke to someone about it and am having it reported to hopefully get this bug fixed through Apple itself.

Hi Apple, I too have started observing the Apple Music issue since latest iOS 15 upgrade, when connecting to Bluetooth device automatically on the Lock Screen. When I unlock my phone, there is no Apple Music app launched and hence, I am forced to go the Music app and close it. This experience is becoming annoying day-by-day and it’s genuinely a bug in the latest iOS version!!

This happens every time I plug in a dongle that has both charging and aux output.. the music player shows up immediately on the lock screen despite the app not being active or open. To make it worse I can’t swipe it away so have to open the app and close it to disappear.. super annoying as this is how I connect my iphone 12 mini in the car.

This issue occure randomly. Sometimes restart is fixing this issue or sometimes i need to start music and than kill music when playing.

Notning like esle is really working with it.

Bluetooth device that is only connected is apple watch (even shut off bluetooth is not helping)

I have iOS 15.1

So I turned on my iTunes in my car yesterday and when I got back to my office the Apple play was off of my home screen and still has not come back on so that might be either a permanent fix or a temporary fix I’m not sure yet. Hope this helps.

While I wish I knew if it was fixed by iOS 15.1, I know it wasn’t when my phone updated to iOS 15.2. When I updated to 15.2 on my iPhone 12, it is prevalent on the lock screen though there is no media connected to Bluetooth. I do have Bluetooth enabled because it auto connects to my devices in my home but why does this have to constantly be present as if listening or enabled by a Bluetooth device!? Apple truly needs to fix this issue! Thanks and hopefully it’s fixed SOON!

This has to be the most annoying bug about the iPhone. Yes, I'm calling it a bug. My phone will literally be sitting on the table and will randomly start blasting music out of the speaker phone. I unlock the phone to quit the music app but the app isn't running. The only thing that works to shut it off is to open the music app and pause the music. So ******. I can't think of a single scenario where I would want to put music control on the lock screen, no scenario.

Apple knows about this problem and this should be fixed with the next update
